Ive been traveling around the world for 18 months and stayed in many hostels in many countries. Here's my review of this one.
4 Bed dorm - clean, reasonably with comfy beds. No bunk beds in my room which was great.
Bathrooms shared. These were outside in there own area. Reasonably clean and hot water showers
Wifi - on and off, but it's the desert what do you expect
Breakfast - ok, not buffet, sit down outside and they will serve it to you. Coffee, tea, eggs (sometimes) bread
Shared kitchen - very small, equipped enough to cook pasta though
Staff - ok, reasonably friendly and helpful and spoke some English too
Type of hostel - quiet, most people getting up early for various tours
Other facilities - table tennis table outside, old style arcade machine
Location - good, close to the center
Overall, it's ok for what you get.

Terrible - avoid at all costs!
I had booked a stay at this hostel due to previous good reviews and a central location.
Upon arrival I was desperate to leave and fortunately found somewhere else to stay at short notice!
I booked a private double room with ensuite. The room was absolutely tiny (the room truly barely fit the bed), the room smelt very strongly of chemicals, there was very loud music playing in the courtyard with a heavy bass beat, the room was boiling hot with no ventilation, and there were cats everywhere throughout!
I'm a young traveller, and so very used to staying in typical hostels that aren't all that great - this place was truly by far the worst I've ever seen!

Location of this hostel is its main feature. Secondly, the common area is really nice: you will definitely enjoy the patio and the garden. Thirst, guys at the reception are lovely: hey will help you in any thing you may need - and we Ned lots of help indeed! The bathroom was wide, and the bedroom in general was good. Linen non that new, so we used our own. Daily room service is provided.

Good hostel, good location
Only 2 mins walk from the center, nice inner courtyard to hang out and meet people. We had a doubleroom which was small but clean and with a private bathroom. Certainly not an outstanding hostel but compared to other places in San Pedro good value for money (San Pedro is generally quite expensive).

Wonderful service and space
I arrived late at night with no reservations, and was lucky enough to find a spot here. The hostel yard is great, with room for 2 fire pits, rustic decorations and space to relax. The breakfast in the morning is terrific, and the bed was fantastically comfortable. My only complaint is that the bathroom is pretty far away from most of the rooms, so if you have any bathroom difficulties, as tend to happen traveling, it's a challenge. You have to leave your room, and walk across the compound. But I would definitely stay here again and would recommend it to others.
