Basic accommodation, great sta....
We stayed 2 nights - the rooms are basic and showers too, but it was clean. The staff was extremely friendly and we could stay even after check out and use the kitchen while we were waiting for our flight.
It is definitely worth the prize for a budget accommodation.

Buena atencion y comodidad
Una casa antigua y acogedora, que brinda una estadia muy calida. El personal siempre a disposición es uno de sus puntos a favor. Un desayuno provisto por la casa, hace que cada mañana sea como desayunar en familia con el resto de los huéspedes

Bad place far from the center
I found the building charming, but with an unhealthy indoor climate bad for astma. A family lives there and I felt akward and as an intruder. The mother adressed me in a way that reminded me of a wicked aunt. The breakfast was poor and the room was small, dark and not so clean. The hostal adverticed with a shuttle service, but it did not exist. It was by far the worst place we slept on our intire 3 month trip in South America.

Like visiting a wicked aunt
we stayed in Residential Bulnes 2 nights in early Febuary. Before arriving we had sent an email, asking the reception to look out for a recommended letter arriving there for us. The reception (the son of the family) kindly answered that it would be done.
Arriving there it turned out that the location was somewhat further from the center than assumed. Oh well. We got our room, which turned out to be quite small and not too clean. The hostel happened to be the home of a family with a grown up English speaking sympathetic son and his elderly parents. Nice enough, apaart from the fact that we felt we were intruding and restrained ourselves from moving around in thet house. The house. by the way, way fascinating; it appeared as a countryside home from the 70ties, and we liked that.
The booking.com info promised breakfast from 8 to 10. But the house was still at 8; it didn't start untill 8.20. The breakfast was quite poor and insufficient in quality and quantity. A promised laundry service and shuttle service did not exist. The mother acted as an old nagging aunt that accuded me (injustly) for spilling red wine on a table cloth - treating me like a naughty little boy. My wife was ordered to turn off the light in the kitchen even if she had not been the last to leave the room.
People ringing the door were occationally ignored on purpose.
For some reason my wife had problems breathing in the building. Astma provoking in some way? Bad wi fi.
I liked the building but not the "wicked aunt" and her household. I can not reccomend the establishment and I do not understand why it's constantly full.

too expensive and dirty
the rooms are dirty, the bathrooms too.
breakfast is poor.
please note that you are going to pay more for the room, because they do not tell you about the IVA tax, until the very end
Instead of paying 54000 pesos for 2 ppl and 2 nights, we paid 64000!
