Clean, light, warm, good sized....

I stayed here with my family in March 2018 and highly recommend Bories House. The staff were friendly, welcoming and helpful. Our room was large and warm, well lit and extremely clean. The beds were very comfortable with fresh, clean linen and comfortable pillows. We ate our dinner in the dining room most of the nights of our stay and enjoyed the food. The breakfast included eggs if requested, cereals, fruits and toast and a range of cakes. Several open wood fires warm the common lounge and dining rooms. Fantastic views of the Torres Del Paine park and the fjord are through the lounge windows. The hotel is located a short taxi ride into town or if you are inclined a reasonable walk. I highly recommend this hotel.

Great spot at the edge of the ....

This hotel was a wonderful base for our 4 nights in Patagonia. Just a 5 minute taxi into town it was close enough to be easy and far enough outside to really feel like Patagonia. Staff were very helpful, rooms were clean and breakfast was basic but nice each morning. Highly recommend this place it exceeded our expectations especially for the low cost in comparison to many other places nearby! A note - the airport shuttle didn’t know where this place was, nor did a couple of taxi drivers. If you tell them to go past the Singular Hotel you will find it.

A Mixed Experience...

To start off, Bories House has an awesome location with amazing views. My family of 4 stayed 6 nights in the Cottage that included the use of the Summer House which is an all glass and wood room built behind the cottage equipped with a wood stove, comfy furniture, and an incredible view. This was the best! 5 star... Bories is a small, family-run place, managed by the nephew of the owner who was nowhere near Patagonia. Booking, while not seamless, was smooth enough. Check-in and our stay were basically good despite some quirks like having to re-negotiate the inclusion of breakfast, staff not knowing (or finding out) how to operate the washing machine, taking too long to share the passcode for the main building, having horrid wi-fi service, etc...all not a big deal in the scheme of things on vacation but there was little/no responsibility demonstrated for most of the quirks. Down to 3.5/4 star... My biggest issue is that Bories bills itself as a "Hotel", but does not deliver on some basics... like regard for the safety of their guests, sharing a phone call/important message or any followup on an incident involving missing family members and an emergency room visit. Down to 2 star... Ultimately, the view brings the star rating up to 3... If you're looking for a short stay with amazing views without much expectation of/from hotel management, stay here.

Great staying!!!

This small Hotel is a hidden gem. The ambience is beautiful with large windows opening on the most pictoresque landscape. Lovely fireplace. The rooms are very large elegant and extremely comfortable and the place is quiet. The reason I can't give them 5**** is that the staff although kind are not very professional and the food choice is a bit restricted. But it was Christmas and Boxing day so they may be better otherwise. Not staffed 24h. Overall book with confidence and enjoy!

Perfectly simple

We really liked this place. It’s more a rural guesthouse/B&B than a full-on hotel, or maybe it felt that way because we were a bit out of season, we were the only guests, and they weren’t doing meals. We enjoyed the simplicity of the rooms, the setting with the mountain views, and the possibility of simply wandering off into the countryside from the front door. Otherwise not much to say; everything worked. Rather than drive, we walked across to The Singular for dinner where they made it abundantly and patronisingly clear that they didn’t really welcome drop-ins! We were relegated to bar snacks, even though the enormous restaurant was very visibly almost entirely empty.
