You may get a downgraded room ....
I was given a different room than I had booked. There are 4 small pools and one large one - the small 4 were empty (in summer) and the large one had murky green water.
I had booked a large double room described as having a balcony, sofa, wifi, etc. Instead they gave me a small room with no balcony or sofa (they don't walk you to or show you the room first). When I went back to the desk and asked to be switched, they moved me an even smaller room but with a balcony -- yet still no sofa or space enough for one, and with no wifi signal (you could get one bar in the bathroom, zero elsewhere). They told me all the rooms were the same, but when moving my bags between the rooms (by myself) I could see into multiple empty rooms just as described in my booking - but they wouldn't let have any of those! They said the type of room I had booked (and paid for) could be available only the next day (I guess they aren't all the same, after all?),but not the day I had reserved it for weeks ago. I ended up moving back to the original room (in the north end), because I needed internet. One door key cards work about every 1 swipe out of 5, and the other didn't work at all. Much wasted time on day one.

Not the best I've stayed in Ch....
Cons: The room smelled of smoke. It was old and outdated. There was no A/C and it was too noisy to leave the window open at night. The maid came too late at 8 pm on our last night to clean the room. Pros: The parking was free and the breakfast was good. It was close to downtown.

Not modern but clean, decent b....
An older hotel that delivers the old charm of the area. It is clean, a decent breakfast, comfortable beds and adequate shower. The room was large with a queen size bed and a living room area (chairs, coffee table, desk).
I was there for 2 nights on business, so I did not try the pool (it was out of season anyway).
Located 1 block from the downtown (Plaza de Armas) with many restaurant and shopping options, and the mall is a short drive away. Traffic is not a big problem, even during rush hour.
Improvements needed in:
1.) Wi-Fi strength (all but unusable in the rooms so I had to sit in the lobby to use the Wi-Fi).
2.) Parking signage... I had to pay for parking in the street at first because there is no obvious signage of where the hotel parking is located (the entrance to the underground parking is on the backside of the hotel).
3.) The desk and chair were okay but there was no working light or lamp, so once the sun went down (there was a lamp in the far corner, but it did not work)... so in the evening, I had to work in the bed.
4.) Heating - for my tastes, the one radiator heater was not sufficient. Luckily, I brought along a small electric space heater, just in case.

Changed Name, but rooms and se....
Have been there in a poor business trip, 1 night. Room 335 is small, Also the bathrrom, at least with tha chabge of owner, now it is a Diego Almagro Chain Hotel, they have put some effort in renovating, but it is a stitched experience. still carpet more or less, old furniture with water stains, chairs in the dining room with dark stains, etc.
And the service is not good: very informal reception, waiters refusibg to make a capuccino in the morning, even there is the machine etc.
If it wasnt for the business need i would have prefered another hitel

Great location across from his....
The hotel is centrally located in one of the most beautiful parts of town with great views and is a clean well kept property with friendly good service. Unfortunately the hotel is very old and in desperate need of a renovation. It's more of a business traveler hotel although the appliances and furnishings were from another era. Its breakfast buffet included in the price was poor relative to most others in Chile where there is usually an abundance of fresh fruit and breads and cheeses. One gets the impression the hotel doesn't feel a need to renovate for lack of competion. Still for the location I would recommend this hotel just expect to feel like you're staying in a time capsule.
