We visited on the 31st to the 7th We got dropped off outside the hotel straightaway there was dogs barking it smelt of poo staff was very rude we arrived about 230 in the morning there was nowhere to get any drinks not even a bottle of water in the room When going down for meals food is stone cold not muchto choose from as there is not a field for the number of guests for the all-inclusive bar one beer one spirit two wines and three soft drinkswhen asking the bar staff. For a drink just seemed too much trouble for them all staff was mainly on the phone even the lifeguard spend more time on his mobile phone then watching The Pool After been here A few days you would expect fresh bedding and clean towels this is not the case that's never got changed in the whole seven days we was there and the beds just got made every three days but not changed even afterasking receptionthis hotel sure does not cater for English people... our room was round the front of the hotel next to a police dog compound dogs bark day and night also on the Internet it says Wi-Fi in every room this is not the case

Nightmare holiday ??????

Upon the first days of my holiday at Gardenia Hills the condition of the room, were noted. : Plug sockets were off the walls. : Bathroom shower head broken connected to the wall ,shower tray fills like a bath which doesn't run away which causes sewage smell in room . : 2 days without hot water due to emergency heater switch broken . :Bed linen and towels unchanged for 6 days! :Room cleaning consist of bins emptied daily. :Pool area on a night was like a disco and place to socialise on a evening, which left glasses on the pool side ,clothing left out and umbrellas in the pool fished out the next day . :Pool cleanliness consisted of an unchecked amount of chemicals poured into the pool, and it was never swept or washed down. :Sunbeds were never checked which consist of loads of broken beds round the pool which is a health and safety aspect . :Food never found to be warm as the bay Maria was broken so how was the food to be warm ,not enough seating area which over spills to the pool area.Home made bar never caters for holiday makers :All inclusive more like half board . :We ate out all the time as the meals were freezing and to end up with food poison we took the safest route to eat out :We're the hotel was situated we walked down but it was to dangerous to walk back with a unlit road and a gypsy camp near the hotel . All of the above items were repeatedly reported and eventually to the Balkan rep on the Friday ,I was reassured this would be reported to the hotels management ,all of which I had done previously. My bed linen and towels were changed ,room swept and balcony . Overall I got very little satisfaction from the hotel staff and did not enjoy the holiday in the least . Safety of clients were dismissed and the place was not managed to any degree of satisfaction . The hotel as a whole needs better standards to give clients some peace of mind .

Crap

If you are Eastern European then go , if not avoid . 7 days and not 1 smile from the bar staff . If you order beer they look at you like turd. Cold food if it can be called food . Rice and chips every day . I'm on my last day of 7 and still no bed linen change . Rooms are big but no service . This hotel is not all inclusive , it is crap crap crap . Waste of money . Don't go .

Very poor!

We stayed here for a week from the Saturday of Bank Holiday. We paid for an all inclusive holiday which was not very good. On arrival we had missed the lunch and snacks service and was given a piece of paper with our meal times printed on it, we had to wait till 7.45pm for our evening meal which was a 45 minute slot. When we did manage to get a table the food was nearly all gone and cold. This was the start of a weeks worth of repetition. At the least I expect all inclusive to be kept at an exceptable temperature as if I wanted to microwave my food I would have gone self catering. The all inclusive bar was a bit of a joke, more like a counter with just the very basics in drink. We managed to try the snacks for 2 of the days we stayed which was laughable, dry sliced bread with cheese or salami and biscuits, probably all leftovers. The room was big but our TV was broke and took four days to get sorted, housekeeping was virtually nonexistent, bed making very sparse and clean towels nowhere to be seen had to ask for them. After four days we couldn't stomach entering the restaurant anymore. No adult entertainment and no separate entertaining/bar room to sit and relax. This hotel definitely needs to up its game, tea/coffee facilities and a small fridge in the room would make it more welcoming as you cannot get a drink until breakfast service at 8am.Nice bus service and driver to the beach which we used a couple of times but we like to walk so a 20 minute trek to the beach on not the best roads. The weather was great, the beach was great, had a fantastic meal at the Euphoria bar and grill value for money. Took the free bus to Nesebar for a day, quite a nice old town with old buildings and plenty of shops for gifts. Overall a 1 star hotel pretending to be 3 stars. Have stayed in all inclusive 3 star hotels in other countries and this one has a very long way to go. Would probably return to Bulgaria sometime in the future but not to this hotel.

Would not recommend!

You do pay for what you get and for an all inclusive for 10 nights it wasn't so expensive. However apart from the reception staff and manager who were always helpful and a big room, that is where the positives stop! Food was awful most nights and very rarely hot. Restaurant and bar nowhere near big enough to cope with the amount of people there and so after joining a long queue you arrive at the buffet to discover it all gone or very cold. A microwave is available to reheat food. The complimentary bus each day was pleasant and the driver was friendly. Restaurant staff were not friendly but very efficient at clearing tables quickly. Entertainment was pretty much designed for kids or drinkers and very repetative as was the poolside music. Pool was clean. Did not get a chance to use sunbeds as towels were always put out on them very early. Outside seating by the bar was very limited and finding a table to eat dinner at was impossible some days. My advice is to go out. There is a regular public bus passing the end of the drive and this runs until late back from the town. You don't need to walk or brave the busy road at the bottom as some have said. Try Svetti Vlas (next town along) and if you can't stand the binge drinking culture of some parts of the beach front just walk left along the front instead of right. You will find it quieter and so very inexpensive for drinks and food. As I say you get what you pay for. Bulgaria is a beautiful country with lovely people, but you have to get out and about to find it.
