I had a business meeting in the neighborhood and I was delight to stay for a night at Panorama Madison. This is a small boutique family hotel located next to a metro (underground) station. It is on the last floor of a building and has a fantastic panorama view.
The room was nice and very clean. There is a free WiFi. The breakfast was very good. The stuff is very nice and friendly.
There is no reception desk. Keep in mind that payments with credit cards are not accepted.

A misleading ad, miserable pl....
It is advertised as apartments, but in reality are 3 bedrooms rented by the rooms, with a shared kitchen and bathroom with the other guests and the host which lives in the same flat. Definitely not recommended for business travel, especially when at the same price you can get a lot more. Booking website is disappointing in Sofia experience.

A unique experience
1) Location: is perfect in a very good neighborhood of Sofia: Iztok.
This quarter is just at the entrance of Sofia and is a very nice and safe neighborhood. A lot of embassy’s and expensive expat- quarters are located here.
Metro station Juliot-Curie is right in front of the Panorama guest rooms, and brings you in the center of Sofia in less than 10 minutes. You can prefer to walk (30-40 minutes) through the huge park that separates Iztok from the center if you prefer, it is worth the walk... To find such a huge piece of green in a city center is amazing.
Madison: The place is a huge brand new and very modern penthouse on the 17th floor, over 2 floors. There is a huge terrace all around, so you can see all of Sofia and surroundings... just this is already a big plus...
The lower floor consists of the kitchen and a huge living room. I rented a room with access to the terrace...
The room was very big and had all the necessities. Because I work long days they placed a small refrigerator in the room for me to fill with the necessities when the shops were closed...
The room on the upper floor are a big studio with 2 bedrooms and one big room with en suite bathroom...
Minus is that the rooms on the lower floor have no bathroom attached and to reach your private bathroom you have to cross the living room space...
Since the limited number of rooms I soon found this was not a real issue. The bathroom is for you alone it is not shared with other rooms...
In the very modest price a breakfast was included. Do not expect a big buffet breakfast but you get personal attention to give you what you prefer...
As I was on a business trip I really appreciated the personal attention. Coming back at 23:30 hours from the office and the lady who owns the penthouse starts preparing a very nice meal at that hour is extremely well appreciated.
This is not a hotel, the service is much more personal. Do not expect some 5 star hotel service, but appreciate that the lady is doing this alone and going through a lot of efforts to make everyone's stay the best.
Do forgive and tell her if something is not ok, since the penthouse is very new and they are learning, there are some minor things... The common areas are smoking allowed which was not to unpleasant to me :-)
Every evening she prepared a home cooked meal, for which, dessert included I paid about 4-5 euro inclusive some apple or orange juice... I gave a bag of laundry which was done for all something like 2 euro's.
It has been since my stays in Irish B&B's that I have not enjoyed the friendship and hospitality like here. Maybe because her husband is Irish (although he is not there, he runs another business)
Conclusion: You can love it or hate it, but I loved it...
