Villas are great family accomo....
For our first family ski trip (both parents experienced skiers) we stayed in one of the smaller villas with our two young children. Can't beat the location especially for young children/learners - literally halfway between the Martinovi Baraki and Sitnyakavo chairlifts and just a stone's throw from the learner piste and Alpin's own ski depot (itself highly recommended). Villa was a great size for a family of four - having the separate bedroom for the children was useful. Villas were nice and clean and cleaned regularly - they said the towels were changed every three days but I'm fairly sure ours were more regular than that. Restaurant was "excellent" for breakfast and "good" for dinner - portions were large and the food (booked the evening before) was nice but the choice wasn't always great especially for kids. Restaurant service was really excellent and worth being singled out - kudos to all the table and bar staff.
There were a few minor problems that weren't always the fault of the hotel. You can't get a large bus to the front of the hotel, even though there's a road. This meant our airport transfer dropped us off at the back of the Hotel Rila and we had to walk. In fairness to Alpin Hotel, this was the fault of the tour operator and to their credit one of Alpin's staff helped us get our bags, children etc across. That was much appreciated. But something to be aware of.
Also, there are a few dogs running round Borovets. I think they're strays. They're friendly enough, but had an annoying habit of barking in the middle of the villa complex at 2am. Again probably not much the hotel can do. We lost a bit of sleep; probably if you were 5 floors up in a big hotel this would be less of an issue. Other than that the location's nice and quiet, which is good considering Borovets can be a bit of a party town.
Overall I'd recommend this hotel, particularly for families and/or beginner skiers. I'd stay again, but I might pack a pair of earplugs next time for the dogs.

These lodges are in a fantastic spot. We had a massive ant problem in the downstairs rooms.Reception told us to go to the shop for spray ? Evening meal stated 6 to 8.15 but when we got tgere at 7.50 we were greeted by a very frosty manager who said the kit hen closed at 8. We had to pre order our food the night before and the meals bore no resemblance to the menu for the public. We decided to vote with our feet and enjoy the food in the other top class places in the village. My advice is dont get half board just bed and breakfast.

We stayed in one of the chalets from 3/2 to 10/2 and we couldn't fault it. For a family it was perfect with door step skiing, and your own boot room which is a must. The Breakfast and Dinner in the hotel was very good, even though the waiters could smile a bit more, we have been to Austria, Italy and France skiing and we would come back here tomorrow! LOVED IT.

We stayed in the hotel Alpin 3rd Feb 2018 to 10th Feb 2018 .we stayed in the hotel not the chalets at the back of the hotel.very steep stairs to receptions to check in not good for old people and stairs in hotel are very tight and steep to room their is no lift .
Very nice hotel clean and very tired staff are very friendly.
Problems we had was their was no blackout curtain for the balcony door means light coming into room had to pull shutters closed to block sign of hotel.
Breakfast is not served until 8.15am this does cause problems as their are a lot of queuing for lifts so the quicker u get out the better .
Nice pub next door titanic and nice restaurant next to that Victoria .
Fridge in room .
Be quiet in toilet you can hear everything in the other room.
Boroverts is a great pace to try to see if u like skiing , but their is not a lot of runs
And they don't seem to have acres after skiing
