OK but nothing great; wouldn't....

Hotel quite basic. Small lobby. Nothing very professional. Constant bags of rubbish/linen piled around the hotel. Escalators to go up the numerous floors; difficult to carry luggage and ski gear down as not all escalators reverse their direction. Ski room small with no lockers or boot racks. Access to slopes not easy. No staff in uniform. Apartments seem to be mix of hotel and privately owned; very old fashioned. Daily housekeeping pretty ineffective; only enough water in tank in bathroom for 1 shower. Need to wear swimming hat to use pool. Car park very difficult and poorly maintained. Hotel too expensive for what it is; felt like maximum 3 star. Better hotels in area.

Grand disaster!!!

I do not know where to start: - staff - completely incompetent and unfriendly - Smoking area - all around the hotel, even in the SPA reception, even in the restaurants, even in the corridors and in the company of kids; - smelly, dirty and poorly organised space; - rooms dirty and hot - heaters can either be on or off - bathrooms - you do not wanna know - somebody thought it is funny to build a staircase up to the last floor so that it brings you right on the ski tracks, but forgot to check whether the ridiculously cheap flooring is slippery when wet. - there is a huuuuge parking - but beware - you would probably be not able to stop there as the bell boys are more busy to show off then to clear the snow mountains that have piled up throughout the winter... I think I can write book. To simplify - do not throw your money to cause yourself such a bad experience

Great place.

We usually stay down in Chepelare but this year because I had my two girls with me (8 & 6 there first ski trip) I chose to stay nearer the slopes. What a great place, right on the slopes. The apartment was very clean and tidy and well serviced during the week. We ate in the restaurant which was part of our package, the food was very nice, thankfully there was spaghetti with tomato sauce on for the girls. The swimming pool was lovely the girls had a ball, if only I could of got in for a massage, next time! We also used the games room one night, if you went there every evening you would spend a fortune. We had a most enjoyable stay & hope to be back next year. Thank you.

--- reaching the room was the worst experience ever! Too reach the apartment we had to take 6 escalators (or 200+ stairs when the escalators were not running), followed by a long corridor and 2 floors with an elevator. There is only one escalator that can run both ways, so you have to wait if someone is going in the opposite direction, stop the escalator with a button, wait 15 seconds and HOPE it will eventually start. It rarely happens though. Try carrying a fully winter equipped toddler with a sleigh in one hand. Or ski. Or bags. Hell! - the parking was terrible. Not enough places, it was full of snow, people cannot go out with their cars, chunks of ice falling from the roof and instead of someone taking care of it there are warning signs (park and walk at your own risk, our hotel is not safe and we don`t care about it) - the food at the main restaurant was poor - the pool and the saunas were cold. You should pay 10lv for a bath robe (and buy/bring a swimming hat) - there is no free wifi at the hotel (probably to make the UK visitors feel at home)! - there is no ATM, instead there is a currency exchange burro and they charge you 4% of the amount if you want to make a card withdraw. - the apartment was cold, the toilet was really cold, the bathroom smelled awful - breakfast was terrible. No diversity at all. - poor organization, you cannot charge anything to the room and should bring cash with you all the time - really cold corridors, you should wear a coat to reach the reception - the cleaning ladies do not wash the dishes or make the beds, they only change the recycle bins and add a new roll of a toilet paper + the Mehana on the second floor was really nice. Good and cheap food, and nice service, I recommend it + the apartment was spacious + the location is nice - close to the slopes + cheap + nice playroom for the kids Overall, I will never ever go there or recommend this hotel. Stay away!

Such ?? places should not exist. Huge chaotic buildings right in the woods. Soooo many people everywhere! Getting to and find a place on the payed car parking is the biggest challenge on earth. No ice cleaning on the ground. Big pieces of ice and snow fall from the roof. The buildings are obviously built with the worst quality and cheapest materials. Never, never make the mistake to go there
