THE GOOD THINGS>
The Hotel is very CLEAN. It has been modernised and refurbished in the last few years to a good standard. Breakfast was fresh and adaquate, although the choice of items was a little limited. Again the Dining Area was VERY CLEAN.
Rooms were very clean, and the HOT water was always HOT for showers etc.
THE BAD THINGS>
I stayed at the Hotel during the summer, and there is NO AIR CONDITIONING system, you do have a FAN in your room and this does keep the room cool enough during the night ( without it the room was much too hot ) but it was rather basis and quite noisy.
The other point to consider is that the Hotel is in quite a run down area and if you stay here you must be aware of your personal safety if coming back to the Hotel late at night, ESPECIALLY ON SATURDAY AND SUNDAY NIGHTS.
It is situated in a pedestrianised street, which also makes it alittle more difficult to reach by car.
The reception staff were o,k but really there was only ONE that spoke reasonable ENGLISH, so unless you can speak Portugese it can be difficult.
For the money it was a good Hotel, just a shame about the noisy fan in the bedroom.
