I loved this hotel - from it's friendly staff for whom nothing was too much trouble, to the aesthetics of the room (the standard rooms are HUGE, beautifully decorated and great value form money!), the friendly and trusty taxi drivers found right at the entrance to the location: close to shops, cafés, metro station and the main Paulista avenue. No problem with the reservation, everything went very smoothly. Probably not great for someone who wants a huge pool (but then, if you're willing to pay more for a pool, better stay at a hotel where they have one...); this one is good for kids and if you just want to have a dip.
The breakfast is very generous, and a mix of American style and Brazilian style breakfast, so no-one ought to grumble. Waiters are very friendly and had the patience to try to understand my bad Portuguese and explain what the exotic fruits I was eating were!
The ONLY detail that wasn't perfect was in the bathroom: although in itself it was as fantastic as the rest of the room, the enamel was notoriously worn away around the soap-holder. It didn't look very nice, but frankly everything was spotlessly clean, so it was an irrelevant issue for me.
Sao Paulo is an expensive city, so I absolutely got more than I thought I was paying for... Will definitely stay there again.
