Perfect spot for a relaxing ho....
I would say that this will be the best hotel in the area. Catussaba Suites is a sister hotel of Catussaba Resort but new.
The hotel is new and located next to Catussaba Resort allowing you to enjoy best of both worlds. As grounds of Catussaba Resort are very nice and they have a lot to offer, but rooms are very old.
Rooms were clean with a daily service - nothing to complain about. Hotel is next to the beautiful beach which is almost like private (or is private) - Big Plus! Did enjoy the food in restaurants as well. Pulpo a la vinaigrette is a must to try.
If you don't speak Portuguese, like me, you may struggle, as there are only two people between two hotels who speak English. But this is something to be expected in general when you travel in Brazil.
I would stay there again!

Very nice stay in Salvador
Hotel staff is really willing to support their guests and are very kind and prestative. People at the hotel is trying everything to help and to make you feel welcome. We found our hotel room very clean, beds very comfortable and sheets and towels new. Good leisure options for kids.

A good place to be, close to S....
I have been at the Catassuba Suites more than once. I stayed for four days, from april 11 until the 16th, 2017. The administration has improved the breakfast, with better products and the overall quality is much better than a year ago. The room was very clean, and they did the beds quite early (usually before noon). The staff has limited knowledge of any foreign language, do not expect them to understand spanish or english. The food room service is fast, but the food is not sophisticated.
In our room there was two airconditioners, one of them was malfunctioning, it took them 2 days to fix it, it was not a major problem, because one machine kept the room temperature at around 20 degrees Celsius, which was nice. If we were in the summer, this would be a problem.

1. Reception - arrived midnight from longer flight, receptionist tried to put my family into a room that was not booked by us - to protest did not assist at first we had to actually find a valid reason not to accept the offer - a solid wall with false window took care of this.
2. Room 319 (they call it a suite) had a large yellow mark of urine on the extra bed with no bed clothing, Had to call receptionist and he suggested my wife should not complain. Our complaints continued, until the extra bed (booked prior arrival) was made. The making of the bed did not comform with any hotel standards.
3. Breakfast. Below any standard, with plates covered in plastic that guests had to remove in order to access food stuff. Zero attendance by staff - staff not present. Coffee machine broken and no attempts by staff to fix it.
4. Room service. Ordered cold beer and coke for our son, delivered warm.
5. Ordered an extra towel (shower equipped with 2 towels) and this extra towel did not arrive prior check out.
The room was adequate, and the facilities (hardware) indicates this hotel could easily become a 2* or higher rating - the issues lies with the incompetent staff and lack of service mind..
Do not recommend to stay at this hotel with present management.

Comfortable stay in Salvador
The Catussaba Resort and Catussaba Suites are two separate Hotels situated side-by-side. We stayed at the Catussaba Suites and were quite content with this choice.
The rooms were very spacious and included a living room and kitchen-type area equipped with fridge.
We walked over to the Catussaba Resort and found this side to be much busier and energetic (not what we were looking for in our trip but it might suit others) and seemed to be very 'kid friendly'. The food was good which is just as well as there are few other options nearby.
The only negative would be the distance from the city and all attractions. It's approximately 30-40 mins by car or bus into town where you can visit the main attractions of Salvador and have access to shops, the more popular beaches, and other restaurant options.
