Rio Aeroporto Hotel Rio de Janeiro is an upscale property in immediate vicinity of the Rio International Airport, Rio de Janeiro. The hotel has 63 non-smoking, tastefully-decorated guestrooms, all featuring amenities like a television, minibar and en suite bathroom. Access to Internet in all guestrooms is complimentary while parking is available at a small charge. Catch an early Brazilian buffet breakfast and devour perfectly-grilled meats and vegetables at the Dirigivel Steak House, which also serves International cuisine in a la carte and buffet style. Watch the world go by as you settle down at the lobby bar and sip on a refreshing cocktail after a long flight or meeting. Complete your fitness routine even when on the go and get a full-body workout at the hotel's fitness centre. The hotel's proximity to the city makes it the perfect venue to hold your business and private events, and it offers a well-equipped conference hall with a seating capacity of up to 300 guests. Situated in the Governador Island area of Rio, the hotel is in the vicinity to local attractions like Sugar Loaf Mountain, Maracana Stadium and Sao Bento Monastery. A must-visit attraction is the 710-metre majestic statue of Christ, the Redeemer atop Corcovado Mountain. The famous Ipanema and Copacabana beaches are also easily reachable from the hotel.
The room was clean and simple and bathroom especially pretty decent. Beds were perfectly comfortable and was a good place to shower and sleep. Restaurant is awful (breakfast is okay, but skip dinner), but you're 100 meters from the food court with lots of options. For a night in-between flights, it’s fine. What gets people upset is the hotel doesn't much its purported star rating and is too expensive. We made a reservation and saved about $150 so I didn't mind so much, but if I'd paid $275-325 per night, I'd be angry.
