Perfect Jungle Escape!
This pousada is so relaxing you won't want to leave! Surrounded by jungle with a beautiful cachoeira that runs through the grounds, this is the perfect place to get away from it all, enjoy nature and recharge your batteries. All the staff were wonderful. Mika and Nico were super welcoming and had great advice on things to do in the area. The breakfast is delicious with eggs, cake, fresh bread, ham, cheese, fruit, cereal, coffee and fresh juice included. Our room was comfortable, clean and quiet we had the best sleep we've had in ages. It's only a 10 minute drive to the beautiful historic centre of Paraty where it's definitely worth taking a boat trip around the islands for the day. We'll definitely be coming back!

Escape into the jungle!
If you are looking to get away from it all, this is your place!! It is a bit of a trek to get to but it's totally worth it! In saying that it's not all that far from the town, just feels like it cos you really feel so secluded! Dani was always so helpful and friendly, breakfast was great and the property is well kept, quiet and natural. If you can try and book the private room right beside the little waterfall.... Falling asleep to that sound is heavenly! We had a wonderful stay here and I highly recommend it!

Amazing stay! You will love it....
I loved my stay at this hotel. The staff was super friendly and the rooms were very comfortable. I loved the beautiful rainforest feeling, to relax and enjoy the fresh air. There are some lovely waterfalls at the river right next to the hotel and the water is better than a swimming pool! You can easily get to town and enjoy Paraty. Such a lovely small town! I highly recommend this property and will definitely plan a second visit.

Very friendly service and peac....
Dani greeted us with a warm welcome and always went out of her way to treat us well. The breakfast was a cut above because of the homemade bread and the fresh pancakes. The owner, Valmor, was on site and fun to chat with. The location is very peaceful because of the sound of falling water from the waterfalls on the property. Our bungalow was comfy but next time we hope to try the chalet, which has a balcony overlooking the falls, or the "castelinho," an old ruins that Valmor has fixed up and that has a lot of character. Highly recommended!

Gorgeous secluded location
Four of us stayed in one room over a four night stay and we had a great time here. You have to be prepared for the location as it is in the middle of nowhere (about a 20 minute cab ride into Paraty) so don't expect to be in the centre of the action. When we arrived in Paraty we got a cab pretty easily outside the bus station and reception refunded the charge - they offer a free pick-up service but our phones didn't work!
This place is all about the location: it has about 7 lodges next to a river where you can swim in a natural pool area. The main reception/lounge/bar/breakfast area is a great place to hang out and drink, play pool and generally just veg out. There are a couple of extremely friendly dogs (mother and daughter!) who will happily laze out in the sun or come over for a play.
The room was fine for four of us - double bed and bunk beds, with our own shower room. It's basic but very comfortable and well-priced. The staff were all really helpful and offered help/tips on the local area. Again, be prepared to wait for taxis to collect you, you have to ask at reception and sometimes it took half an hour for one to turn up. We walked into the closest village which was about 20mins away and waited for the bus into Paraty - there's one an hour and if you miss it... it's a long wait in a very basic village! But if you're into trying something different then this is a lovely find. There's an absolutely amazing restaurant called Shambala a short taxi ride away - it was the best food we ate in the whole of Brazil, and we were there for five weeks! Plus the owner's wife drove us back to Chill Inn at no extra cost!
