Atol das Rocas, good and bad......
We arrived late night after 5 hours of flying from Manaus, about 10pm or so. I booked this hotel because of the many good reviews on TripAdvisor. It was good and bad. We checked in with a somewhat surly room clerk, and were guided to our room. The room (as in many South American locations) was impossibly hot. After some time, the A/C did not perform at all, and we requested to change rooms, which we did, the A/C worked better, but it was at least an hour later before the room began to cool down. Yes, the room was clean, and the bathroom and shower were very good. By this time, we had not eaten since leaving Manaus and there was no options for getting anything to eat at that late hour except Pizza delivery. No that was not for us.
The next day, after being out all day, we returned to our room, and found that a T-Shirt I had bought in Manaus was missing, and more importantly, a pair of Binoculars that we brought with us. The case for the Binoculars was still there, but the Binoculars were gone. We confronted the front desk for this, and they asked us what sort of compensation we wanted. We told them NO compensation, all I wanted to do was report this to Trip Advisor….
Good location, as said, close to the Strip on Ponta Negra, good pool good breakfast!
Although for the most part, the service was good, this hotel needs to address the problems mentioned above. The staff were good, but the problems mentioned need to be addressed by management. It is too bad, many things were good, but the theft spoiled our stay there. If you should choose this hotel, lock your suitcases up when you leave the premises...

Great price, great location
The location is perfect, next to a Ponta Negra Beach which has along with the beach a variety of restaurants to choose from for dining. The staff was very helpful and carried my suitcase for me to my room and later during check out to the hotel entrance. I was in one of the first rooms (I think it was 101) which had a lovely view on the balcony of the beach and pool area. The price was cheap, and they did have breakfast during the morning included. The hotel also has various excursions they can set you up with. However, I did not go on any of those. The shower was a perfect temperature, the AC worked wonderfully. I did have an issue with some sugar ants in one of the beds. However by the time I left the room and returned they were already gone. While I did not feel unsafe at all because I was inside the enclosure of the hotel, there is a section of the hotel that I did not stay in which is pretty much open to the street. I wouldn't have felt comfortable staying in one of those rooms, since it is Brazil and things happen.

Great location and staff
The hotel is very well located at only 2 minutes walking from Ponta Negra Beach, which is the most famous in Natal. We've stayed on the 3rd floor and therefore had great views of the see. It is also close to Morro do Careca (a tourist attraction in Natal). Staff is very helpful. I recommend it!

Great Location near Ponta Negr....
We stayed here during the World Cup and were quite happy with our choice. The location is excellent, just a block from the center of the beach and also close to bars and restaurants in the older part of Ponta Negra. We walked around the area at night and it seemed safe. The room was very spacious, comfortable, and clean. Bathroom was fine. Every room has a balcony overlooking the ocean and beach. Breakfast is served out back near the pool and garden. There were a variety of choices although I must say the quality was just average. Staff was friendly especially when we checked in although the young guy at the front desk in the morning was a bit surly. No English spoken by any of staff so be prepared. Our room was above the main office so it was pretty loud at times with someone shouting especially in the morning. I'm glad I had my earplugs. Under normal circumstances, the hotel would represent excellent value although during the World Cup, we paid nearly quadruple what would normally be charged, although this was standard all over the country and is what was anticipated. I would definitely stay here again should I ever return to Natal.
