Good & Friendly
The pousada was friendly and good with our kids. The Breakfast was ok but the room have a lots of mosquitoes and ants. The room was ok but needed a bit updates. The beach is a bit of walk away for small childrem. We had a good time there.I would go back.

Okay but watch for mosquitoes!
This BnB was quite cheap but the air con worked and the rooms were clean. It is a little dark in the reception and breakfast room but the bedrooms were okay. My biggest issues was that there were several mosquitos in the room which ruined things a little despite our best efforts to remove them. Location is fantastic, a stones throw from the popular town center. We ended up going on one of these boat rides to different beaches for about 35 reals each - I thoroughly recommend it. Fantastic value.

Great B&B with super friendly ....
We stayed for three nights at this Pousada. Though only one person spoke any English, we always felt well cared for and the staff was constantly positive and did its best to both understand and respond to our questions. The room was comfortable and quiet and the breakfast was tasty. Location wise it's a little walk away from the main areas, however this just contributed to the low key and comfortable feel of the place. It literally takes you like five minutes to get to the beach, so it's definitely not a problem. Would definitely recommend the place to other travelers!

Very good staff and location
We had a very good stay here with no complaints, but I'm giving it "only" 3 stars to keep expectations realistic for the typical North American or European tourist.
There aren't a lot of reviews on here for this hotel or this town, so I'll try to give a pretty detailed picture of what it is like to visit Porto de Galinhas and stay at the Morada Azul.
I'll start with the ride in: Morada Azul sent a driver to pick us up at the airport gate in Recife and deliver us to the pousada, at a fair price of R$100 (the ride takes about an hour.) The driver only spoke Portuguese, in which we are far from fluent, but he spoke nice and slow so we could figure out what he was telling us about the area:
Porto de Galinhas only got its first hotel about 25 years ago. Since then, it has grown into one of the top beach resort towns in all of Brazil, with about 15 full-service resort hotels and over 150 pousadas. (A pousada is a family-run place like a B&B in the US or UK, but they can be pretty large. Morada Azul has (I think) 30-40 guest rooms, plus hotel-style amenities like a swimming pool and 24-hour staffing.)
Pernambuco state was founded on sugarcane and Porto de G. was a fishing town, but tourism is #1 now. On the road into town you pass a lot of hotels and tour-buses. Morada Azul is in the old/central town, but on the fringe, away from the central plaza. I found the location ideal because it is quiet at night, but you are only 3 minutes' walk from all the nightlife.
The nightlife in Porto G. has a lot of options: Nice restaurants; snack/takeaway places; bars; cafes; ice cream; etc. There is a popular nightclub right where the highway enters town. Even the shops and boutiques stay open late, if you want to buy souvenirs, fashions, art, jewelry, etc. There were always people around and we never felt alone or unsafe, even though we visited on a weeknight in "winter" (August.)
In the daytime, the focus is on the beach and the cafes that face it. if you are going to Porto G. then you probably know about the natural pools in the reefs - do not miss this! Go at the lowest of low tide (there was a tide chart posted in the pousada, plus everyone on the street seemed to know when low tide was!) The reefs are close enough to swim from shore, but take the "jangada" boat instead: It only costs R$10, and the boatman will give you a snorkeling mask & some pellets of food to attract the fish (which you hardly need; the fish are very numerous.)
As for the Morada Azul: The staff were great, especially the young lady at reception (I forget her name) and the porter (I think his name was José.) The porter is available 24 hours to let you in the gate or bring you anything you might want. On the day we left, we went to the beach for a few hours after check-out, and they gave us a place to shower & change before calling a taxi.
The room is small, clean, with basic furnishings (as in any pousada) and the bathroom is basic Brazilian: "hot" water means cold water flowing over a heating coil, so it only becomes warm. If you are accustomed to taking very hot showers in your home country, you will have to be a little bit flexible at Morada Azul (and indeed at most lodgings in Brazil.) Typically, the weather is too warm for taking a steamy-hot shower anyway.
More importantly, the room had a powerful air conditioner with a remote control that worked great. Mattress was thin but comfortable. TV picked up a few local channels. WiFi was weak in the room but strong in the lobby. We had a nice big shuttered window overlooking the pool. On the negative side, the door to our room faced another building where the TV blared very loudly all night through a large open window. So although the Morada Azul is in a quiet setting as I mentioned, be prepared for the possibility of noisy people within the pousada or next door.
Altogether, Porto de Galinhas is a terrific place to visit and the Morada Azul is a good place to stay.
