Most terrible hotel experience....

We were in Brazil for the World Cup and got badly fleeced by FIFA for our hotels! But the hotels in Belo and Rio were at least decent....but this was the worst hotel we ever stayed! Dirty small cubicles were called rooms..there was hair on the floor and in the bathrooms etc. The breakfast was of very poor quality and overall service was terrible! Wifi was free only in the lobby and in the rooms we had to pay for it...after paying US$ 500 per day for the room!! Location, of course, was it was in the Hotel district...where anyway most hotels in Brasilia are! Please Never go to this is Day-light robbery!!

Not bad, not great.

Brasilia Imperial Hotel is conveniently located downtown in walking distance to Estadio Nacional, markets and shopping mall. Farooq is a very helpful staff member and appears to be the only person that speaks English. Consequently he had a full time job assisting with guest queries. Rooms are bright and spacious with good TV picture. My bathroom was dodgy as the drains were smelly and there was no shower door so that water ran out into the entrance hall. Breakfast was extensive and plentiful, juices, fruit, cereal, bread, pastries eggs etc. etc. The retaurant bar was good for an evening meal. Other local dining options appeared to be the food court in the shopping mall. Room rates appear expensive in Brasilia generally and more so due to World Cup finals.

Too expensive

Paid R$ 500/day for a double room. Considering that price I expected much more. There is no free internet in the room (at least they were honest in advertising it). Replacement of food in the breakfast buffet was poor. Cleaning could be better as well. There was no flat sheet on the bed and I am not sure they wash the Édredon every time they change the guest.

Worst hotel I have been so far....

We arrived today at the hotel, we had an early flight so we couldn't check in until 14:00, checking in took more than half an hour, because there was a huge line of all the people that where in the same situation, and then the receptionist didn't know how to use the computer which took 15 minutes until another guy who actually knew took over. The hotel lobby made the hotel look like it was fancy, but as soon as we went to our floor, the halls made it look like it was a giant restroom, plus we had to wait like 5 minutes for one of the two elevators which has 3 floors, this went on during our hole stay. As soon as we got to our room we noticed there was no shampoo, so we called reception for some, but they told us the hotel doesn't provide shampoo for guests, we had to be thankful we had soap at least. At 21:00 we went to the hotel's restaurant to have diner. Since we were hungry we all ordered the fastest and easiest thing we could find on the menu which was spaghetti bolognese. We had to wait 2h 30mins for the plates to arrive, plus they where cold and weren't very good. About an hour during the wait we demanded an explanation and the waiter explained that they had one cook. They shouldn't have taken our order in the first place, we asked for bread at least, which came with the food, an hour and a half later, and it was 2 day old and tasted awful. After we finished eating we were furious and didn't want to pay for that horrible meal, and one of the hotel's workers chased us around the hotel demanding we should sign the check, and wouldn't take no for an answer, even though we told him to keep it there in the reception so we could talk to management the next day, since it was midnight already. On an other thing, I don't know if the hotel sells it's self by saying it has free wifi, but there is only free wifi in the lobby, and they charge you 20 reals for 24hs, plus an hour into using it, it stopped working for two hours. I am still in the hotel because our reservation was for three days, and since we are here for the world cup there are no free rooms in any other hotel, plus we already paid the reservation. This was only one day in the stay. Extras: The carpet floors of the corridors look like they have piss stains all over, he room is for 3 people and there are only 2 plugs to charge our phones and there is no carpet in the rooms, just tiles which are loose and make all sorts of sounds when you walk to the bathroom wile everybody is a sleep. I sincerely recommend nobody pick this sh**y hotel unless you have no other option.
