Disgusting bathroom, very bad ....
We felt for the fair price and big good looking room.
The guy insisted that we paid the 2 nights in advance which we agree'd on.
We found out why later in the evening;
After using the water the whole room smelled like a sewer, this smell was really disgusting.
The internet stopped working in the evening and still didn't work the next morning.
The pillows where so thin that we had to fold them.
After complaining about these points in the morning they offered us a different room for the smell which we refused because it was mutch smaller and has no WIFI signal.
We ended up buying a plug for the zink to stop the smell.

Rooms with character but terri....
I stayed there for a night only and was happy I did not have to stay longer.
The location is very convenient, downtown La Paz, close to all amenities. The welcome by the staff is very professional. The price is quite high (for La Paz hotels) but at first sight I could see why when entering my room: vast and large bedroom, decorated with personality and taste, and a beautiful noble hardwood floor. Even a jacuzzi! The Wifi signal was good and the Internet connection fast (but that may have been due to the small number of guests during my stay...).
Could not test breakfast: I had to leave early (7:00am) to catch my flight and breakfast was not served before 8:00am I think.
The worst point was the bathroom though: although clean, the sink was so poorly fastened that it was about to fall. Much worse: the toilet was leaking: each time you would flush you would see a trail of water (used water??) run from the bottom of the toilet onto the ground. Yuk! That discouraged me from even trying to take a shower (no shower screen; on top of stepping in used water I would probably have transformed the small bathroom into a pool). I then turned towards the jacuzzi, not for the jacuzzi itself but at least to get washed. When I opened the taps a brownish water came out... Quite filthy... And after letting water run from every tap I found out that there was no hot water. I ended up not taking any shower there. Was happy to spend one night and no more. Given the price I really think they should make an effort on the bathroom. We do not necessarily need a jacuzzi, but at least a functional bathroom would be the minimum!
Was I simply unlucky and had the wrong room? I certainly do not recommend this place.

Good value rooms but poor serv....
- big rooms
- decent price
- clean and very quiet
- well located
- good wifi
- The 24 h reception was not respected, the staff left at night and everything was closed when we came back from diner. We rang the bell for half hour, called, but no one came and we had to look for a poor and cheap hotel nearby. Next morning when we came to claim and complain, they didn't want to refund the room entirely first, then, they try to compromise and give us our money for us to leave Immediadtly (but we needed a shower etc. that was unavailable in the other hotel), and when we asked for an receipt or an invoice, they refused it all. So we had to threaten them to go to the tourism police, and they finally gave us our money and paid for the other hotel night + cab. We hope that situation is exceptional but be aware that the service maybe poor depending on the receptionist !

Casa Colonial - not good
Handy to town, quiet, good wifi speed
Bathroom drains stunk!,
breakfasts were poor, toast stale, not enough butter or jam
No room service!
No soap provided
Guy at reception tried to rip me off by organizing taxi to airport, he wanted me to pay him 80 B for a 60b ride
I would not stay here again
