My first hotel complaint
I am a frequent traveler, graduated from a Hotel Management School. Welcome to see my first complaint.
We arrived at the front desk at 11.45 AM on 20th May 2018. Unlucky we had a train to catch up in 15 minutes. The taxi driver waited for us outside. What we need is putting our luggage in the hotel and come back later to check in. The front office "lady" had two guests in the lobby bar and I understand she needs to serve them first. At this moment, we asked a question containing a clear message "Sorry we are in hurry - how to store the luggages? - We are guests tonight." The front office "lady" showed such an unpleasant look and pretended haven't seen us, which I may understand if she needs focusing. (Actually the hotel has a locker downstairs which need 1 Euro coin to lock it) In this situation, she can just reply directly. WELL, this is not the reason why I am angry.
After she had served two guests, she went to the cashier for cash safer and recording information on the system. In this situation, it is so obvious that the guests nearby had a urgent question. She should use employment empowerment
to skip those steps which can definitely be done later. WEll, we could wait and this is still not the reason I am angry.
After, she turned to us and we finally knew there is a locker. Without informing the exact location but just a word "downstairs", we ran to find how to go down to find the locker. When we reached the locker, it needs 1 euro coin and we don't have it. The "lady" replied, I CAN'T HELP WITH THAT, with a CASHIER so closeby. We didn't want to see her impatient face again and my friend ran outside to the taxi driver to get the coin and ran inside downstairs again. Don't ask us whether we missed the train or not. Only out of professionalism, she doesn't deserve Front Office and this is not the ACCOR Hotel Group I met in 20 French cities.
Thank you for listening. Other employees are good. Even a housekeeping woman helped us in French to find the locker. I think she should be in your Front Office. And the taxi driver should be in your cashier.
For any colleague who needs to reply to complaints, I'm sorry. If there is a different saying, please check FO surveillance video to see us running outside and inside.

Right on the river ....
We liked the position of this hotel .... perfectly sited for easy access to the towns amenities and of course the fabulous Citadel. It's a typical Ibis offering with bright clean, comfortable rooms. Well stocked bar with pleasant lounge and external covered veranda by the river. Staff were very helpful and pleasant.
We were able to park our motorcycles on the pavement in front of the main entrance on a nice flat surface and where they could be seen from our rooms.

nice place to stay for a night....
the ibis hotel in Dinant is a nice place to stay for a night or two. the staff is very welcoming and the big terrace looking on the river is very nice. there is a possibilty to have some food also in the evening. breakfast was good. the only problem is the noise from the central road. if you can afford it reserve a room in the direction of the river.

Motor Bike Tour to Belgium
When we arrived,a little bit over heated, our rooms weren't quite ready but Greg sat us down on the deck with a complimentary drink and our rooms were soon ready.Room had great view of the river and was quiet.A little later we discovered we'd left our phone charger at our last hotel but once again Greg came to the rescue. We've stayed at this hotel before, because of the location to the town, and have never been disappointed. Thanks for a great stay.

Great view - but still an Ibis....
Excellent view of River Meuse and so the prices are a bit above Ibis norms. But it's still a pretty small room! Free parking adjacent to hotel is an added plus. Great for an overnight stay, but a bit cramped for longer.
OOPS, There was a problem in processing your request!!!
