Perfect for family
I cannot say enough about this apartment and the excellent service we received from Krijn and Gill.
We arrived early in Brussels and we were able to go straight to the apartment to leave our luggage off which was just brilliant as we were travelling with a 3 year old and a 1 year old. The directions given to us from the train station were perfect and we arrived without any problems. Upon arriving we were met by Gill and he was able to give us details of the surrounding area and how to get around easily.
The apartment itself had everything we needed for our 4 day stay . It was warm and comfortable and very well stocked. An easy 10 min walk to the grand place and easily accessed by bus routes and trains. We could not have asked for anymore. I would absolutely recommend staying here for its location and comfort and the lovely service we received.
Great to be able to travel in such comfort and to get the experience the fabulous city of Brussels.
Thank you so much apartment Nancy

Spoiled by a poor arrival expe....
I had booked through Booking.com. I was asked to use the message facility to tell the owner when I would arrive. I did. He acknowledged. I arrived when I said I would and stood on the doorstep in the drizzle for 20 minutes. Another guest let me into the hall and I called the number for the property. I was told that I would have had an email telling me to ring an hour prior to my arrival (I had not) and the keyholder would be a further 20 minutes.
Nice quiet location. Walkable from Gare du Midi. Scruffy hallway. Blocked view from bedroom. Hamster-house steep stairs with no handrail.
Good heating. Good wifi. Lots of kitchen equipment.
Water just hot enough for a warm bath if you run it on full hot from the start!

Stayed here with my partner and friends in October 2016.
The apartment itself appears to be on a rather quiet residential street, and I was quite surprised that the check in time was so late (1500). Upon arriving half an hour early we called to see if the guy was around and if so if the room was ready and his greeting was a little on the frosty side, I must say. Thankfully, having trudged around Brussels with all our luggage for several hours we were allowed in (I suspect we could have entered many hours earlier)
The apartment itself is quite nice, the bed comfortable and the wifi ok (even though there was some kind of internet blackout on the Friday night) It was very clean so kudos on that front, although there was an odd musty smell in the fridge. The bathroom could also do with renovating as it was a little old fashioned and dingy. Appreciate there is little to do with a room that has no window, but maybe nicer lighting and a new paint job would not go amiss.
The entrance is a bit odd, and not fun at all if you are staying near the top and having to lug your cases up all the stairs, which are quite narrow.
Proximity to town is pretty good, about 10 mins walking time, and the same to the station.
All in all, not a bad stay but would probably not stay again if I were to return to Brussels.

Unsafe and unhygienic
I know that the guy will come back and deny all this but here it goes....
We basically ended up elsewhere because the experience was stressful, the guy not so polite and the upkeep of the property was poor. (We are both squaddies so take this as you will)
1-The individual in charge of the property sent us to the wrong address (having gone to the right place first time round) and was bad mannered to say the least. He also cancelled our booking on booking.com because we allegedly never arrived at the property, and as a result i can no longer leave feedback on booking.com. (This was done following an exchange of emails where he was shown images backing up my complaint). Also for your reference, the pictures displayed on Nancy apartments on booking.com are not all the right pictures (some refer to another property). The negative reviews all relate to this property in particular and not the "nicer" one in the centre of Brussels. Hence the ratings of this property appear better than what the actual property reflects!
2-Upon arrival at the property, there was significant damp in the hallway. Not so much of an issue as this is a block of flats however it illustrated the state of the property in general. Apartment is located on the top floor, hard for those with mobility difficulties.
3-stairs within the property itself are extremely dangerous and coming away from their fittings (bathroom and a bedroom at the top). Poor finishing touches meant that the door handles were hanging off, electric leads hanging from the wall and coat hanger hanging from wall.TV didnt seem to work either (but that could have been us simply not understanding how to work it!)
4- the property was dirty, finding not only dust and hairs but also food left overs and stains. Its full of tak too lol photos look good but to the eye its not as appealing!
5- the washing machine and shower were broken. The bath was very unclean!
6- damp throughout the upstairs of the property
This property is a good size, cheap and well located in brussells. But rememeber you get what you pay for thats why i say take this review however you wish but there are much better places to stay nearby. Parking is not easy but there are some places a short walk away. (Pretty much the same all over brussells i think)

I thought I already wrote a review, but didn't notice it in the feed...so here goes again. My friend and I stayed at Apartment Nancy for two nights (early September 2016). We found it a bit challenging finding the apartment from the main train station, but once we found it we were quite happy. There was a bit of a mix-up at the beginning with someone else's reservation; but I was kept up-to-date by Krijn that his partner Mr. Khalid was on his way. They both gave me their cell phone numbers so reaching them wasn't a problem. With a bit of patience everything works out in the end! Mr. Krjin ended up upgrading our room. We absolutely loved it. We were able to connect to Netflix with the large smart TV.....which made it feel like home. Only negative thing I can say for us Canadians is that I personally hate mosquitos and the fact that Europeans don't believe in nets on the windows makes this issue a little challenging..lol I'm kidding. We basically closed all the windows and it was fine! I would definitely return! PS. loved the Babyliss hairdryer, better than the one I have at home! :)
