Nicely Done & Great Personal A....

The hotel is off the beaten path of the thousands of tourist places in Bruges but less than a stone's throw from local transportation. The owner/manager was everywhere making sure guests were both comfortable and had the best advice on how to do and where to go. It's very clean and well put together. We'll stay here next visit to Bruges for sure!

Little Hotel with a BIG Heart!

This small but mighty family owned hotel couldn't have provided a better experience and introduction to fabulous Bruges. Steven and family as owners take great care to ensure that you are taken care of; from detailed "tourist" destinations and map guidance, to restaurant recommendations (and NOT recommendations), to a personalized escort to the parking garage for the parking challenged guest - they put guests as their number one priority. My room, though small, was spotless and comfortable, and upon my arrival, I was greeted by a bag of fabulous Belgian (where else??) chocolate in my room. This hotel is perfectly situated in a quiet area of Bruges, but still incredibly close to all attractions. They offer a parking "box" (it's really a box!) for only 10Euro per night, and if you drive, I would strongly recommend taking it as parking is at a premium. Breakfast is offered; limited but delicious pastries, and of course, personal attention to each guest. Upon checkout, Steven took time to help guide the next part of my travels and provide wonderful suggestions. Due to the charming building's status as a UNESCO Heritage Site, they are unable to add air conditioning, which if you are sensitive to the summer heat, may be something for you to take into consideration. I am certain, however, that if there was a way to provide any service to make the guest feel more comfortable, Steven and his family would go out of their way to do it!

Lovely hotel in a quiet locati....

We have just returned from a four night stay at the Bryghia hotel. What a lucky find ..... this hotel is lovely! We were warmly greeted on our arrival and the friendliness and helpfulness of the owners and staff continued throughout our stay. This is a traditional, family-run hotel and the owners go out of their way to ensure that your stay is comfortable and enjoyable..... nothing is too much trouble. Steven in particular, was extremely knowledgeable of the history and geography of Bruges and advised us on places to visit etc. One of the purposes of our visit to Belgium was to visit my grandfathers grave in Koksjide and he was extremely helpful when it came to planning our train/ tram route. We also wanted to visit Menin Gate for the Last Post ceremony and Steven's father helped us book the tour as we were having difficulties getting through to the company. The hotel itself is ideally placed if you prefer to be away from the hustle and bustle of the Markt. It is located in a quiet street just a few minutes walk from the centre with its numerous restaurants, cafes, museums and shops. The hotel is traditional in style yet with all mod cons. It is tastefully decorated and furnished throughout. Breakfast was lovely .... beautiful fresh bread and pastries, cold meats and cheeses, cereal, yoghurts, fresh fruit and juices and boiled eggs to order...... and as much tea and coffee we could drink! Our room was not the largest of rooms...... it probably seemed smaller because the bed was big in comparison ...... and it was one of the the most comfortable beds we have ever slept in! The room was light and airy with huge windows that you could fling open and let the day in. Equally, at night, you could leave them wide open and not be disturbed by noise due to the quiet location of this hotel. The room was spotlessly clean and there were tea and coffee making facilities and a fridge in the room ..... something you don't always get when travelling abroad these days ..... and very much appreciated. All in all, we we very impressed by the hotel and the effort the owners made to ensure that we had a lovely stay. We would most definitely recommend the Bryghia Hotel and hope to return in the future. Many thanks to the owners and staff for making our stay in Bruges one of the best city breaks we have experienced

Lovely hotel in a quiet spot

Visited this hotel for a long weekend recently and can’t praise it enough. The owners are welcoming and nothing is too much trouble. The rooms are clean and comfortable, and breakfast is lovely, with freshly boiled eggs available to supplement the continental fare on offer. The hotel is in easy walking distance of the market square and all the shops and museums. We are hoping to return soon for another visit.
