Just what I needed in a short ....

While the location is a little out of the way, it didn't bother me as traveling around the Gulf countries I'm comfortable enough just about anywhere. After having my flight cancelled from Riyadh to Bahrain, I grabbed a flight to Dammam and called the hotel before departing Riyadh. They arranged a driver to collect me in Saudi Arabia, and transport me over to Bahrain at 3am. After a very late checkin as the sun came up, the hotel desk clerk was welcoming and helped me checkin for my flight later that evening. Given how late my check in was, they were more than accommodating with a late checkout well into the evening.

Horrible staff and loud music ....

Room was fine and clean ! New furniture. Slow wifi in the room for the price I could have stayed in a better hotel in down town Manama ! But what really bugs me is the attitude of the staff ! Not all of them of course! But the most . Slow and lazy receptionist hardly smiles . They don't have customer service experience what's so ever. Will not return that's for sure.

Changed owners to "Holiday hot....

So first of all please let me say that previously I stayed at the Holiday inn express over 6 times during 2015 and thought it was a lovely hotel perfect for business trips large rooms and even larger showers and very clean and professional. However now this hotel is under "Holiday hotel Bahrain" and is very unprofessional and I couldn't quite believe what was happening. Firstly when I checked inn and rode the elvator I found 3 Eastern europien woman just riding the lift up and down and asking people if they wanted a drink together I was shocked. Then I was called on my hotel landline at 2am asking if I wanted to visit the spa on the 19th floor for a massage. I called down to the duty manager to ask why I had been called at 2am for a service I had shown no interest in and he simply said if I wanted a massage to go to the 19th floor. I then had two separate visits the following evening where ladies were knocking on my door asking if I would like anything and they were holding key cards so must have been staying at the hotel, finally a couple more calls from other rooms from girls asking if I need anything and I was ready to leave and never return. I will say that the rooms are still the same clean and large, the hotel has changed the mini bar method where they stock it full even if you don't want it and then make you sign for it all then when you check out they send someone up to the room to check it all manually before allowing you to leave so give yourself 15-20mins for this you cant check out in a rush. So this hotel is not longer the quiet professional place it once was and now seems to be aimed at a different type of clientele. I complained many times to management but little response and no apology was given. I will never be returning. Hope this review saves others from a similar experience.

Good price and reliable brand

I like the holiday inn brand for the reliability, you are not looking for luxury nor will you get it. The rooms are clean and well kept, the bathrooms are spotless and are supplied with plenty of hot water. The breakfast is a mish mash of Arabic and continental tastes, however the coffee is free flowing and there are plenty of seats and boiled eggs! Good service from the receptionists.
