Sids says....Don't be fooled b....
When you arrive, you may be initially happy with your choice, however you need to look a bit deeper. The round windows outside at ground level are different & a little funky but look up and you will see the window sections of the rooms, these are absolutely filthy. The foyer looks a bit quirky but does not offer you somewhere to sit comfortably.
Once you leave the foyer & open the door to your room, you will enter a run down, characterless, dull, gloomy space. I had to request that the cleaners revisit the room as the carpet was disgusting. It has no air con or fan making the room stuffy & difficult to sleep in, unless you wanted to open the window & listen to the people/traffic below. The person that designed the bathroom must have had one too many at lunchtime & then drawn the plans. The shower is situated halfway along the wall directly opposite the "end" of the shower screen, (see photo) meaning that to stop the floor getting soaked you have to twist it round to face the taps & try to stand in a small space. Also whilst the shower is on, the taps continue to run, leaving you standing ankle deep in water. The hairdryer is on the opposite side of the room to the mirror, which didn't impact upon me as I'm bald but the wife wasn't to impressed.
There was a plentiful supply of food at breakfast but trying to get some toast was as difficult for me as trying to win the Olympic 100 metres. For a packed room, there was just one 4 slice, incredibly slow toaster but it gets worse. Half of the toaster obviously wasn't working as they had taped some cardboard over two of the slots.
Here's a tip from Sids.....BUY A NEW TOASTER!
The location of the hotel is fantastic for transport links, with the tram stopping virtually outside & the train station a five minute walk, making it very easy for you to get out and about sightseeing.
However having spent the day out sightseeing we decided to return to the hotel to relax with a drink & play some cards. To my complete amazement I was informed that the bar was closed, even though there were two members of staff standing behind the counter. When I questioned this I was informed that it's because there was no business function in the hotel.
Sids says...What about your paying guests?
This has be the first hotel I've found around the world that doesn't open it's bar for it's guests. We found a great Irish Bar down the road...the hotels loss & our gain.
Sids says....I would highly recommend basing yourself in & around this area but find yourself another hotel

We stayed here from Monday to Friday just gone. Hotel rooms were a little run down however they were very clean with a daily change of towels etc. Unfortunately the restaurant was closed for evening meals but the breakfast was plentiful with a good variety of choice. For us the hotel's main asset was its staff. Everyone we spoke to was extremely helpful and saw to any request that we had immediately and always with a smile, nothing was too much trouble. We would definitely stay here again.

Hotel a bit run down
Stayed here for a week as part of a Jet2 holiday. Booked half board, but on arrival found that the a la carte evening meal that we were expecting was not available. Apparently the restaurant was closed on the 29th April for this. However they did provided us with an evening meal (chef’s choice) which worked out, although we were the only diners most evenings. Food was good. Room on the seventh floor was small and a bit run down. The shower room was tiny. TV had no UK channels. The only two English channels were both USA news. Wi-Fi gave good speed, but annoyingly kept dropping the connection repeatedly. Seemed to be a router setup problem. Daily room service did a good job. Bed was comfortable, but air conditioning failed to cool the room down. We asked for and received a good fan, which helped. Staff were all very helpful and the reception staff had good English.

Traditional and Welcoming
Stayed 3 nights on a Broadway Travel deal through Travel Zoo. Quaint hotel presented in wooden decor. Very helpful and welcoming staff answering all needs and more. Adequate and efficient rather than luxurious. Rooms clean and comfortable if a bit on the small side but Ok for purpose. Good food in restaurant with some "heavy" portions. Tram line runs past the door so easy access to City Centre and train station from airport is only a few steps away. A 3 day travel pass is good value at 17 Euros covering all types of transport in the City region. You can even download and print at home.

We were here for 2 nights. Our room was a little small. The bathrooms are well equipped. There is neither air conditioner nor fans in the room so had a little discomfort. On demanding a fan the staff said not available. There is no kettle and tea/coffee supply in the room.Buffet breakfast was wide spread.Staff is gentle and helpful. They are dressed in their traditional outfits.Overall a nice stay.Tram has an easy access to the city.
