Me and my partner were there last week. The receptionist only does half days but that wasn't a problem. She was friendly and was very helpful. As no one had our room the night before we was able to get into our room straight away as we got there before midday. The room itself was basic but very clean. It done us well. The hotel is a short walk from the lovely town centre but there is a bus stop round the corner for those that don't walk. Will definitely be going back again next October if not before.

Cosy And Very close to Mountai....
First thing I noticed upon reaching hotel is How close it is to the mountains!!
Just 500 mts away from mountain. Very good location as near by to major bus stations. You can get a bus to airport easily. Also close to railway station. But chose to take a cab since we had to carry lots of luggage too. You can easily reach Airport or Railway terminal in case you want to hire a car. Though options at railway terminal are very much limited.
What surprised me most is a small not on dressing table saying, since we don't have breakfast facility, we provide a small package of snacks in bags outside door at 7am. To our delight there were two packets with juice can and croissants in it.
At reception is a small wending machine to provide nice tea, coffee and Lovely hot chocolate at all times. Reception is not manned at all times except for mornings.
We were communicated by Management regarding how to reach and enter the hotel in case if reception is unoccupied, which was simple enough. But We appreciate little personal touch.
Rooms are cozy with very small bathroom. But undoubtedly very clean and neat. Plenty eating places and bars nearby.
Free wifi working all right.

Cosy and friendly
Cosy hotel about 10 minutes walk from the Mirabell Palace and a further 5-10 minutes to reach the Salzburg museum or Residenz gallery.
Friendly atmosphere with a free breakfast of juice and croissant in the morning, free WiFi, drinks available for purchase.

Quaint place to stay in Salzbu....
It is a good place to stay in Salzburg and not too expensive. It is a 15 min walk from the old town, though not walkable from railway station with luggage. The place is neat and clean and though it doesn't have breakfast, still they give a free breakfast goodie bag to start your day which i think was very thoughtful. They communicated through email before trip giving details of keys, so there was no inconvenience.

Never even managed to check in....
Disappointed with what happened. After booking we were informed that we would receive an email from the "hotel" with an access code. We still hadn't received an email the day before check in so I tried to contact the hotel directly. No email address was given, and the only contact details given were a phone number and a fax number. I tried the phone number and it said the number was "unreachable," I thought this may have been because I was in England so I tried from Germany (I was on a trip through a few countries). It still didn't work and didn't work once I was in Austria either. We ended up going to the hotel and the door was locked with no one on the desk. There was an intercom at the door which called a phone, and once again it said "this number is unreachable." It was dark outside at this point and the hotel isn't in a busy area, so we were getting scared. I ended up going on Trip Advisor on my phone to locate nearby hotels with decent prices and reviews and managed to find a nice hotel.
Expedia got in touch by email the next day asking us how our stay was, so I replied with the above. We hadn't paid for the stay as we were supposed to pay on arrival (not sure how if no one is on the desk), so I said we would be issuing a formal complaint if we were forced to pay. The hotel emailed us, saying they automatically took a payment from my credit card, but will try to refund us. I am still waiting for this refund. They are adamant an email was sent and that their phone was working, so it is their word against ours really.
Personally I recommend looking elsewhere (we stayed in the Jedermann Hotel down the road) just for peace of mind if things go awry that there is someone on site to speak to. I'm not sure how this place can advertise as a hotel when I've stayed in cheaper places and gotten a better service..
