The hotel looks old. Furniture is old and carpet in the walkway outside the rooms is dirty. Too much noise from people walking outside the hotel especially late at night.

The hotel is located in the center of the old town, which made it convenient to visit the tourist attractions. The hotel Steinteraase on the seventh floor provides quite a view of the town including the castle, Festung.

Fantastic location, roof top restaurant/bar with fabulous view of Salzburg. Our only complaint is that they did not provide washcloths in the bathroom (is this common in Germany?)

Hotel position and service excellent. The room was the smallest room ever saw. Space for 2 beds head to head and barely space to stand! The bathroom was bigger than the bedroom

This hotel was fantastic - huge room (by European standards), fantastic location with great views of the old town, great rooftop bar and really good value for money. Lacking thngs like room service and a restaurant for dinner but that didn't worry us as there were plenty of places to eat very close by.
Apart from the restaurant for breakfast and the rooftop bar there is no lounge area, no health club etc. etc. but these were no problem as we weren't expecting these things.
