Rude staff, rip off, held agai....
This place is ridiculous. Show up around 830. Had to wait for someone to come down to open the gate. Drove in. Went to reception. First thing the chef/check in guy says "you are late" ahhh. Ok. Then still proceeds to be rude after. At that point I decided I didn't want to stay. Said we are leaving. Got in car went to gate. Gate would not open. Chef/check in guy comes down says we must pay. I say you have my cc from the reservation, charge it. Would not let me leave till I went to the office. so don't stay here. Go to the edelweiss hotel. Very friendly, accommodating. Spoke excellent English. Happy camper is not appropriately named. Damn near ruined my vacation. And I will fight the charge on my cc card.

Good Price / Quality
Happy Camp has a few hotel rooms, next to their camping. Stayed in there for 1 night. We had a room with shared bathroom. Rooms are cozy and clean. Had a bamboo calender from the local Chinese restaurant dated from 2014 on the wall :o)
I honestly don't know why the owner decided to call it Happy Camp. All tough it is a great location, we didn't feel very welcome during check in. He didn't look that happy!
Wifi is there, but you need to pay for it. You can choose a few packages, but all they are very expensive. In my opinion it is really outdated to pay extra for wifi. Make the rooms EUR 5 more expensive and include wifi.
Breakfast was simple, but good.
Overall good prize / quality.

Spent one night here The rooms are nice and clean. The complimentary breakfast was very good. The owner was not the most outgoing sort and needs to learn to be more friendly but he took good care of us.

The grounds are beautiful. The bathrooms very clean. But, watch out, if you only speak english beware. I was over charged. I made a reservation ( on Tuesday) in person for 1 night of tent camping. I specified check in Friday after noon and check out Saturday morning. When we arrived we had to call him to come to the office although it was supposed to be open. When we checked out Saturday morning he told me my reservation was for 2 nights. we argued for a few minutes he looked very angry and told me NO 2 nights. Needless to say I had to pay for 2 nights. I won't camp there again. I know I was clear about my reservation. I feel I was taken advantage of with the language barrier.
