Excellent value. Good breakfas....
I stayed at the Hotel Altpradl for a few days while in Innsbruck. The staff was very friendly and spoke great English. A young man assisted me and gave recommendations on where to eat. There is a small parking lot behind the hotel for those with a car but come early because there are only about 9 spaces. There is paid parking in an adjacent lot in front of the hotel however if you're unable to find a spot. The room was basic but comfortable and the water was very hot. The bed was comfy and the temperature was fine. I cracked a window which wasn't a problem (not a lot of noise outside) Breakfast was decent with a selection of meats, cheeses, breads, juice, fruit, and great coffee. It's about a 15 - 20 minute walk to the city center and a shopping mall is just a few minutes away. I'd definitely stay here again.

OK for the price
We stayed for four nights in this hotel which is a 15 minute easy walk to the centre. The exterior and the foyer were extremely unprepossessing but our room on the third floor was pleasant if small. Everything was clean but rather shabby and aged looking (the tape that controlled the outside roller shutter was broken and unoperable). Bed was comfortable but provided with very heavy doonas which were much too heavy for the warmer days of Spring. TV had various language channels. Internet was very unpredictable.
In fact, the room was stiflingly warm even though the weather was quite mild on the days we stayed. We had to sleep with no covers and the window open to allow for some circulation of cool air. I don't know how a guest would cope in the Summer!
Breakfast was plentiful, fresh and satisfying and served in an attractive room by smiling waiting staff.

Located in Hotels street of Innsbruck, by 10 minuets walking you can reach city centre. Our room was old, with a little space to move with a luggage! Breakfast was very simple. Hotel has a free parking place behind it! Wi-Fi speed was very low, then we decided to use our mobile data instead of it.

old, quaint, quiet hotel
Hotel Altprad is an old-fashioned hotel with plenty of charm. The location is excellent if you like quiet residential neighbourhoods, close to the river and a park and only a 15-minute walk to the central station and downtown. Neighby there is bike rental, a climbing/bouldering gym, and running trails with work-out stations. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the breakfast was excellent. The rooms get very warm (and we were only here in April) with no visible air conditioning but there are balcony terraces on each floor which are cool and breezy and have excellent views of the mountains.
