another great stay
We stayed here for 1 night on April 11, 2017 in chalet no. 2. The property is a few kms from New Norfolk so you definitely need a vehicle. We had stayed here about 10 years beforehand and wanted to return.
Our chalet was set furthest away from other cabins. Downstairs contains a small kitchen, dining table, lounge chairs and TV, bathroom, and large bedroom with a queen-sized bed. Upstairs is a bedroom with king-sized bed. The heating was adequate and we never felt cold.
In the morning, the property owners feed the animals and guests are welcome to join in. Jack, the border collie, is certainly the main attraction as he runs around with boundless energy. The animals include sheep, alpacas, chickens, goats and a donkey are all very tame and friendly.
This property is a great place to stay out of the city. In the past, we had recommended a chalet to family and friends, and all thoroughly enjoyed their stay. Thank you!

Lovely stay in bushland settin....
Chalet is modern and very well furnished. It is clean and roomy and bed very comfy.
It is in a lovely location on a 100 acre farm yet quite close to the town of New Norfolk.
It is peaceful and quiet and very private as the chalet is a stand alone building.
It has air conditioning and heating and a small kitchen.
The farm is home to Alpaccas and goat and you are invited to feed these lovely animals at feed time.
Wish we could have stayed longer.

Beautiful, comfortable and rel....
We stayed in a chalet after days on the road in a camper van and it was a breath of fresh air. Hot shower, comfy bed and a kitchen with a lovely view! Frank and Linda have put a huge effort into the detail of the property and we appreciated their warm and friendly hospitality. We were invited to feed the animals in the morning which was an amazing little unexpected treat for us. Just a really beautiful spot to stay and enjoy the laid back tassie lifestyle!

Good accommodation, great view....
We spent 3 nights in one of the chalets. The are spacious and well appointed except we felt they lacked good cooking facilities. There was a microwave but only a portable hot plate which was OK for us but someone cooking for a family might struggle which is a pity as the farm would be fantastic for children. There were 2 BBQ areas, one outside and one in an old shack which was quite quaint. The owners have moved into town so we only saw them briefly when they came to clean the other chalet. Unfortunately we struck an extremely windy period and with all the noise including movement of the building, we did not get the best nights sleep. we also thought it a bit rich that we had to pay $5 each time we used the washing machine or the dryer which was located in another building.
