I had an awesome 2 night stay at Randwick Lodge :) The room was very spacious and lovely and I slept really well on the comfortable bed. It is situated perfectly to the main street of Randwick, to CAFES, restaurants and shops, as well as The Spot - with Coogee a 10 minute walk away. The bus dropped me off almost directly out the front of my accommodation, which is great when you have luggage. My room, and the accommodation as a whole, was very clean and tidy and the staff friendly. The only things I could say that weren't 100% ideal was that there was no fridge and there's a lot of traffic noise at night. But if you're a good sleeper like me, then it won't be a problem, and it was very quiet within the hotel itself. Overall, I was extremely happy with my stay!

I really wanted to like this place.
Obviously trying to upgrade.
There is effectively no sound proofing between rooms we could hear the fella next door breathing. One of the worst hotels for noise I've experienced.
And the lovely courtyard is always occupied by smokers, so unusable for the rest of us.
So never again. Plenty of other options.

We stayed at the Randwick for the weekend whilst visiting at The Prince of Wales hospital, great location, beautiful old hotel with great staff, the only complaint we would have was the strong smell of cigarette smoke in the room which hit us everytime we returned back to the room and opened the door.

This place is in a good location. Close to Coogee Beach with plenty of eateries and public transport conveniently at your door. The rooms are a little small with even smaller bathrooms, however excellent shower pressure makes up for it. It has a communal kitchen with a washer and dryer for longer stays. Is on a busy road but the back rooms are nice and quiet. Would stay again.

We had a courtyard room travelled down from the north coast for daughters procedure across the road.
Our bathroom was nice but the pipes smelt and had to leave the window open the entire time.
There was construction from 10pm til 2am constant machinery, sawing & drilling for both nights we stayed, we were neither notified or verbally told about it upon check in, before I booked this place I rang and asked if it was reasonably quite area at night and was told yes! as my daughter needed to be fully rested she was up all night and ended up having a terrible time in hospital as she was so exhausted from being woken constantly.
Other people in the courtyard were smoking it would come through the room window, when visitors left they would let the gate slam and be in the courtyard past 12pm talking loudly just to add to the volume of noise.
As we were at the hospital between the reception opening hours I did not get time to see anyone about these issues and upon checkout I didn’t even get asked if we enjoyed our stay but I was that fatigued I couldn’t be bothered I just wanted to get home.
