They forgot the furniture.....

Stayed here for the night as we were attending a family wedding in the function centre. The venue is amazing for a wedding reception and they catered beautifully. Our villa on the other hand was over priced and under furnished. Our bedroom had just one piece of furniture in it. The bed. Without even a valance on the bed. No bedside tables, no lamps beside the bed, just an ironing board leaning against the wall. The rest of the villa was the same. A lounge with no cushions and a table with nothing on it. The place looked like they'd thrown some left over furniture in at the last minute..... They need to halve the price and spend some money on making it a little more inviting. The place had no wi-fi and no phone reception. No pay TV. No DVD. No technology at all. Would not stay again.

Golf is so so - not sure about....

Folks I have to say the course we played was Gungaree and was supposed to be #96 in Australia Very poor condition consisting of very damaged and punched greens (was not notified when we checked in. - ) heck they didn't give us a scorecard for our cart How hard is that to do? Also if a hole (like #8 is out of commission - TELL US Your pro shop needs professionals not kids who work for "peanut$" And irrigation watering going off on many on Blue tee boxes so when you would swing you would slip and kill yourself These guys need to be told how to run a golf course Looks like the better years have past them by So please unless you want to disappointed -don't bother

Amazing golf

Never seen a club managing two golf courses ! Both amazing. If you want to see Australia’s wild life (kangaroos etc) and want to play golf - then this is the place for you. The pro shop is good and stores most of the essentials. They have amazing cafe/bar with many bar food and fresh coffee. Loved it !

Played Bungool Course 4/3/18

DO NOT play the Bungool Course if you have a handicap over 10. The fairways are skinny, the first cut rough is bad, and the 2nd cut rough is DIABOLICAL! This rough covers your socks! Our group of 14 players lost about 100 balls, with the lowest handicapper off 8. There is no water available to drink on the course, (we played in 31C heat and high humidity), there is no halfway house, and worse, (for ladies) there are no toilets, except after 18 holes back at the clubhouse. NEVER again. You have lost our social group.

Excellent food and extremely f....

I booked an Executive View Suite and two Deluxe Rooms for a family weekend gathering. The setting for Riverside Oaks is stunning, with the clubhouse overlooking the older and more established of two 18 hole golf courses, complete with gangs of kangaroos sweeping majestically......! The accommodation appeared brand new, and was of a modern, slightly minimalist but high quality design and finish. The only criticism would be in the large Executive View Suite there was a lalk of 'mood' lighting in the large living room area - a few table and floor-standing lamps strategically placed would solve this. The staff were all really, really helpful, but there was a lack of information about the resort in the rooms, exacerbated by the free wifi and mobile reception being either temperamental or non-existent (which meant that Mr Google was of no help), and the information provided by the staff was contradictory. An example being that we were told that breakfast (included in our room rates) was between 8-9, but when we arrived it appeared that the breakfast buffet didn't start until 9, and that we could have had breakfast cooked to order before 8, which for a golf resort is entirely appropriate. Anyway, the brasserie staff were extremely helpful and we had an excellent breakfast cooked to order. The food was a highlight of the stay - three high standard meals in total, including a superb Mothers' Day buffet in the main function room. Apart from the lack of information, my only other criticism would be that, unlike the guest accommodation, the main common areas in the Club House are very dated and tired, to the point of being shabby - these two issues reduced my review rating from 5 to 4 stars. To summarise, friendly staff, excellent food and guest accommodation, slightly let down by a lack of information for the guests and shabby, but not chic, common areas in the main Clubhouse complex. Would I return? Most definitely, and next time to include some golf!
