Spacious clean well equipped a....
We stayed here for 11 nights while visiting my daughter. The apartments are in fact small town houses with private drives/garages. They are very well equipped (including powder for the washing machine), spacious and comfortable (only small gripe is that there was no cafetiere or filter for making coffee). They are located in a quiet suburban street, about 10 mins drive from Newcastle city centre and waterfront. There is a corner shop/PO 5 mins walk away in Belford St, Aldi 5 mins drive away in Hamilton, and a large Westfield shopping mall 10 mins drive away in Kotara. There is a wide variety of restaurants in Beaumont St about 15 mins walk away. This was a good base from which to explore the surrounding area, including Nelson Bay- highly recommended.

Smells like a public toilet
Interesting attitude from this mob... when you pay good money for accommodation thats crap and the manager blames you?
Stayed here a few times - okay for the price except last time late May. Air-Con didn't work (it was wet & cold) dishwasher 'out of order' and they use a rancid room deodorant that smells like an unkempt public toilet - so had to open all the windows and go outside to relieve the sneezing.
Then in the early hours of the morning (between 2am and 4am) the Unit next door was in full party mode - till I yelled 'keep it down'. I fixed that.
I was told by the property manager no one could fix the air-con and there was no stench. Like he was there? It was like that stuff (trough rocks I think its called) they put in the men's urinal in public toilet.
Again... It was cold, no sleep and the stench.
I noted all this on the survey form in the unit.. no reply. So I sent this to the property controller / manager and was advised there was nothing he could do - the owner's in France. I was also advised the 'party" people stayed 20 days - I only stayed one night.. hubris.
To add to the hubris he warned me not to give a bad review of my stay at this property on social media as I would 'hurt' his business. May i suggest that your hurting your business. Not me. I'm just saying what happened.
What they offer is not what you get. Prefer others and may i suggest while public toilets are cold and stink, but they are free.
I do hope 'the owner' enjoyed a nice bottle of Ducru-Beaucaillou Ex-Chateau in France paid for by me.

Clean, neat and spacious
Stayed with friends at the Everton Apartments for a couple of days. Apartment was in a nice, peaceful location and is a quick trip to the shops. Bedrooms were very well laid out and spacious. A great vibrant and upbeat apartment, truly recommend this for any occasion with friends, couples and families. Only doe fault was in our apartment the oven did not work, although we didn't have a need to use it.

A little suburban gem!
We stayed 2 nights at the Everton Apartments during our stopover at Newcastle with my family of four (2 young children).
Firstly, these apartments are not apartments, they are in fact townhouses (6 in total).
There is no place to check in. Prior to arrival, a text message is sent informing us of the apartment we are allocated to as well as the access code for our door keypad (basically it's keyless entry). The payment for the 2 nights, including the $200 bond, is immediately charged to our credit card. Two days after checkout the entire amount is reversed and only the 2 nights are charged.
There is a single automatic lock up garage (which provides internal access to the home) but be warned, it's really, really narrow but luckily we had no problems. If you've got a larger vehicle, there is also street parking.
The 2 bedroom modern townhouse is probably around 5+ years old. I particularly liked the kitchen which was large and fully equipped - they provide most things you'll need as well as Chux wipes, tea towels, detergent, scourers, tea, coffee, salt & pepper, cookies (a nice touch!) and there's long life milk in the fridge. Also, there's a can of insect spray which was handy.
Beware - we noticed that the glass panel on the coffee table was chipped. I had to make sure my kids stayed away in case of injury because it looked quite sharp. Ouch!
The 2 king sized beds were very comfortable (2 single beds put together) and the bathroom (no ensuite) was clean. The shower recess is large and water pressure is good. There is a toilet downstairs next to the laundry (laundry detergent was provided). Toiletries are also provided (including make up remover) but best to bring your own because there wasn't enough for the 4 us. We were provided with 1 face towel only. Also, no tissues are provided.
Location wise, it was just ok. These 'apartments' are tucked away in the suburbs smack bang in the middle of some inner city residential area. It's approximately 10 minutes drive to the Newcastle CBD so I wouldn't recommend staying here if you don't have a car - it can be quite inconvenient however it wasn't a problem for us.
The closest place to dine at is Beaumont Street (a few minutes drive). We also drove to Darby Street for nice cafes and restaurants.
Before departing, it is expected that the kitchen and dishes are cleaned, packed away and all rubbish is taken outside to the Solo bins otherwise you could incur a fine.
I forgot to mention that a wifi password was also provided to us via the welcome text message however complimentary internet access is limited each day. Anyhow, it was very much appreciated!
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here - felt quite homey and comfortable. If you would like a change from the usual serviced apartments and hotels, then you might like it here.

One word - excellent
Cannot fault the townhouse we had. The two-storey apartment is spacious, comfortable and spotlessly clean. It is very tastefully decorated, with a comfortable lounge, large TV (one in bedroom too) and a well equipped kitchen. The laundry was great and the courtyard was a great spot for a cup of tea.
The location is also good, with the unit in a quiet residential area ten minutes from Newcastle city centre, Nobby's Beach and a couple of large shopping centres. Beaumont street is just three minutes away with its bats, restaurants and cafes.
Security is great, with keypad access, and the complex of six units is very quiet.
If there is a downside, the garage is narrow. If you have anything larger than a mid-sized sedan, it is awkward to park. However, we had a Mid-sized sedan and we were ok, just.
Would definitely recommend.
