great price, but wouldn't rush....

we stayed here the weekend Ed Sheeran was playing in Melbourne. I'll start with the good points. Price for one was great for the weekend we stayed and being an apartment accommodated for all of us without needing 2 rooms. Location was also great being close to most things. However when we booked this apartment it was advertised that it was FULLY SERVICED (except sundays and public holidays), being we were arriving on friday and leaving sunday this should not have affected us but they had changed this policy without even contacting us, the confirmation email we received stated everyday except sunday and public holidays. We arrived back from a busy day shopping to get ready for ed sheeran with no towels for us, When we rang the reception we were informed that their policy had changed and to look in the book, which also said the same as the information we received upon booking, we then waited about 30mins-45mins for towels to arrive to the room! upon booking we paid for an advertised service and did not receive that or even the curtesy of being notified of the change! there was not even enough supplies left in the room to accomodate no servicing for the weekend! Cleanliness was also another issue, The cupboards were greasy like they hadn't been wiped over in a long time and the walls with dirty black marks all over them! the bathroom had one small spotlight which meant you could hardly see anything in there - being the only mirror in the whole apartment made getting ready very hard. They offer free baggage storage which is in the front foyer with every other guest, had we have known that it was not secure we would have left our bags at the lockers at southern cross station. While most of this is not something that would usually warrant me writing a poor review on a hotel, I feel that the room servicing was an issue as we did not receive what we essentially paid for! and as a result of this issue, that could have been resolved by simply notifying us we will not be staying here again!

Never again

We arrived on 17th May, we booked through virgin holidays. On arrival we were informed that the room didn’t infact have enough beds for 4 people so we would have to pay for a roll away bed, we asked to speak to the manager who was a very rude condescending man called Gavin, he repeated what the receptionist had said but after some time said he would waive the fee. The apartment was tiny and the rollaway bed would not have gone into the bedroom so my son had to sleep in the lounge room. There was one plug in the apartment that did not fit any of the 4 plug holes in the apartment. None of the exhaust fans worked so when showering there was no way to clear steam. On departure we left our bags in the reception and on return we realised we had left some souvenir glasses in the apartment and asked to retrieve them but were told they had been thrown away !

not the best

i booked this last year, on the 2nd Aug 21017, for 21st April 2018 to 29th April 2018 and asked for a deluxe Apartment with a view of the churchs or a good view, as i was bringing my mum her 80th, and my sisters 60th, when we got to our room we had a view of another block of apartments and road works, also the smell of air spray was overbearing, when i rang to complain, no offer to help or move, i had to chase the manager up, and then it took two days to move us, we then got moved to another room, aircon was dirt, the windows were dirty, the fan light over the oven didnt work,in the Ultiqa folder in the room it says they have dry cleaning when i rang reciption they couldnt help me, i didn't complain, because when i did the first time, it was like every time i went down or rang i was being a pain. never again, unless someone can change my mind.

Magnificent city view

Great, fully equipped modern kitchen much appreciated after a very long journey of mediocre motels across southern Australia. This fabulous apartment on 11th floor had excellent city views, a clean and well functioning and spacious bathroom. One criticism was the difficult lift security and the internal door knobs that left a few bruises. The couch and furnishings were excellent except the terrible pillows but it should be serviced daily. Excellent value for money and affordable if you get one of the better apartments. The phone to the lobby also didn't work so communication was hard. There could be assistance with baggage for tired travellers.

Not fit to stay in. Mould, dirt, hair, we found it all. Bathroom was so dirty that we bought disinfectant to try and clean shower. Uncomfortable beds, mattress firmness almost non existant, towels old and smelly. The apartment itself smelt. And on balance, very ordinary service.
