Weekend Get Away ??
Great location in Lygon street.
The hotel has not much to give praise about. Rooms are neat but they are very old & outdated.
Hotel needs a good revamp to get it up with the modern times!!!
There isn't really any rooms with a view, unless u pay extra to get a room on actual Lygon st. But it can then be very noisy from the traffic just down below.
It really is just a place stay for a night or two, nothing to special....
But the staff have been nice the times we have stayed so that's a bonus. The parking is quick & easy

See you in 2019
My favourite hotel in Melbourne closed for renovation, reopening in 2019. They were occupied up till the last day as seen from the full car park on the last three nights of my stay from 27-30April. It was bittersweet to happen to stay before the closure, but everything was fine including the friendly staff, clean rooms and working amenities. Look forward to 2019 reopening. Good luck.

Well I had a business conference here.
Breakfast was great both morning.
The room was out dates, just a dive.
Shower over a little bath.
Noise from street, noise out back where car park is. No real security after hours. Drunk and homeless lurking.
Checked out. In morning. Called back because I left my suit jacket in my room. Was told I would get a call back. I had to chase no one called. Then apparently the cleaners did not see it. More like kept it.

Fantastic room and convenience....
I stayed twin bed room and it was clean and gorgeous. And laundry was free to use with dry. It was convenience to go the city. Just took 5min by tram from swanston st and 15min by walking. The restaurants were near around the hotel as well.

It served a purpose
We were a little taken back to find something this daggy in such an area. But it served a purpose.
The bed was pretty comfortable and the bathroom was large with a big opening window overlooking a busy street.
The shower was over the bath and a little short for me, but I managed to stand under it for quite a long time, so it must have been ok!
The staff were lovely.
