I wouldn't go back
Based on suggestions found on TripAdvisor, we insisted on a room with a lake view. I'll give the view 4 stars!
However, there isn't really much more nice to say. The room was clean, but tiny and with barely enough space for one suitcase. While the water pressure in the shower was fine, the hot water was problematic: it took forever to get warm and fluctuated between warm and scalding at a moment's notice .
The included breakfast had no hot options (just bread, juice and coffee).
The wi-fi worked occassionally in the room, but not in the lobby or dining areas.
But the worst part, by far, was the noise from the bars and discos below. As others have reported here, the music (and in our case loud arguments from the street below) --on a week night-- were really too much.

The best part is the view
We had a room with a lake view... that part was AMAZING. The room was clean and the smallish double bed comfortable.
However, the room was very small and cramped. We had problems with the hot water. The wi-fi was spotty. Breakfast was limited to "facturas," a bit of fresh fruit and coffee.
The worst part was the noise from the bars and discos below... music, loud arguments in the street. And this was on a week night! In sum, I can't recommend the Quillen for any sort of traveler....

A good place to stay in barilo....
Stayed for a few days. The hotel is well located. The rooms are a bit small, but were very clean. The staff were nice and welcoming, especially Jessica, who was very helpful with every request and question we had. Good value for money!

Nice little hotel
Lovely little hotel right in the center. Room was quite small but very comfortable and quiet.
We had one of the standard rooms which was meant to have a view of the lake.. View was basically a peek of the lake in between buildings in the distance. Pool is tiny so don't plan on swimming! We didn't bother using it.
We got a very good price though so I didn't mind and the room really was very nice. Breakfast was fine. Free parking is round the back of the hotel

This hotel is 3 blocks away from the city center but is still on a busy avenue with good restaurants and a block or two away from the lake. The bus stops to the main attractions are very close by. The rooms are rather small but well kept, very clean and nicely furnished. The beds are very comfortable. The amenities could be better but you get used to that (or not) in Argentina with the restrictions on imports. The receptionists were also very friendly and gave us directions and the typical tourist information.
The downside: calling it a "spa" is stretching it. It does have a nice, albeit rather small, pool kept at a nice temperature (nicely warm on June). You can request a massage in advance, I think, but that's as far as the "spa" goes. We asked for bathrobes and at first the receptionist gave us a puzzled look and then found a couple which were sorry-looking but comfortable (torn and faded).
One thing that is a real downer is the central heating. The room was so warm we couldn't breathe at night. Since it's central heating, I closed the valve of the stove and opened the window and even then it was suffocating. Not very conducive to a good rest at all. I guess those going there over the summer would not have that problem.
All in all, it is a good option for a quick layover.
