A place made for relaxing!
A very swish, beautifully designed hotel, just up from the main village of Purmamarca. Beautiful views of the surrounding multi-coloured hills. We had a 'cabanha' - a self-contained apartment, with a lounge overlooking the hills, and our own porch and hot-tub. We didn't try the outdoor pool (always too late by the time we got back from exploring) or the spa facilities, but maybe next visit we'll have more time...
Breakfast was OK, though nothing special (seems to be a country which doesn't go big on breakfasts). The restaurant is also open lunch and evenings. The food is not fantastic, but perfectly acceptable if you're too tired to go down the hill.
Wi-Fi was only available in the public areas, and not brilliant, but maybe that's a good way to force you to relax and enjoy your surroundings!

Boutique hotel with pool
We spent two nights at this stylish, modern and seemingly new hotel with interior decoration paying homage to traditional handicraft and techniques, using cactus wood etc. Very clean rooms and friendly and helpful staff. No glutenfree options for the overly simple breakfast, but when we asked for glutenfree bread, we were pleasantly surprised by being offered an ample selection. At night a talented singer performed Argentinian songs accompanied by her guitar in the restaurant. The restaurant only had one vegeterian dish, and could not accomodate making something simple like rice and vegetables, to help us out with glutenfree and vegeterian diet. Disappointing. Apart from that we thouroughly enjoyed our stay here. A short walk from the bustling, dusty streets of downtown, but a world apart when it comes to cleanliness and peace and quiet.

Beautiful picturesque boutique hotel right at the base of the amazing Jujui mountain range.
Semi-floating steps made from old railway tracks.
Living room and bedroom with views of the mountains.
Heating to keep warm at night.
Great restaurant with a diverse range of meals - plus kitchen staff flexible enough to change the meal to suit you.
Fresh orange juice.
Friendly welcoming staff ... who also doubled up as amazing photographers and saved us from "selfies".
Amazing mountain views all round.
I want to be back there right now!!

It is almost all that...but!
We stayed 2 but separate nights in the hotel. In the first night, we arrived one early winter evening after a long and winding road trip from Paso de Jama (driving down the long and winding Cuesta de Lipan). We got the executive room with sauna. It was cozy, clean, had the kind of warmth needed for that cold winter night, and all that. You have to call the reception if you want the sauna running, and they run it for about 30-45minutes...maybe depending on your request. The staff is literally few, like 1 in the reception, 1 in the resto, probably 1 in the kitchen too. The receptionist is the same person who'll bring you to your room. And they have 1 person who cleans up the hotel. It is beautiful and clean and quiet even if it is by the roadside (highway). Has a beautiful view of the Quebrada de Purmamarca. It has a modern rustic style. The bathroom has it's own califaction which warmed the towels. It's just that when I turned on the shower, everything in it started to fall off. The handle, etc etc and then later clogged the shower floor so I wasn't really able to finish properly my shower for I didn't want to flood the room. (Second night was still in an executive but another room, the shower floor didn't clog.) The restaurant probably took an hour or so to serve the food and the food (menu/carta) wasn't great either for the price. But the breakfast is OK, no eggs or bacon though. It's not what I expected at least from that kind of beautiful desert hotel.
The staff, as I said is very limited BUT friendly and did their best to serve and run around fast as they could probably to compensate for their lack of other staffs.
Another very good and commendable point about it is that, they receive DOLLARS! Probably even THE only one which will not hassle you to have your foreign (US) money changed somewhere else. They even exchanged some more amount which we didn't use in their facility. So that is one great deal of a point. In short even with the mishaps I had using the shower, and with the food/resto issue, I still loved it! Just get your food outside or order it an hour before you eat.

A for Aesthetics, D for Functi....
This is a nicely aesthetically appealing hotel from the outside. The rooms are small...only enough room for the bed and a vanity. The bathrooms are ridiculously small. There is just barely enough room to walk into the bathroom and close the door.. and that is assuming your are not a very large person. A good effort to be visually appealing, but not a comfortable stay. The breakfast on the other hand was well above average for this part of the world.
