Bad experience, dirty place ba....
Booked a 5 day stay and it was the worst hotel We have been. We had to leave and lost all of our money. Room was dirty the bathroom not only dirty it smell of sewer. We booked a room with a view and got a window to an exhaust shaft of the hotel. Asked for a refund and were told our reason did not merit a refund. We left anyway ,this place was not habitable I could not imagine having to sleep there.
I do not often write a review but this place deserves a mention I wished I had read the reviews offered here before booking.

We had a bad airbnb experience and decided to quickly book something 'nice'. We paid 71 euros/night for a room without a window next to a noisy ventilation shaft with a toilet that kept running. The staff didn't speak a word of English and at breakfast they ignored us, scared that we would ask something in a foreign language. Book elsewhere!!!

Friendly staff, average accomo....
For the price, the Ariosto Hotel is a pretty good value for several reasons but may disappoint some people as I'll explain. I'll start with the negative points followed by what I liked the most. The hotel in general is old so don't expect anything to be shiny and new. The design of the hotel is strange with no windows that I saw. It was very dark day and night because you don't get any sunlight from the few windows in the units. The WIFI is free but the signal strength was terrible. Your best bet is to go down to the lobby for the best signal. The bathroom windows are old fashioned chain-drawn that don't easily shut completely. I stayed both on the 100 and 200 level accessible by a round staircase or elevator. The only windows in the unit open up to what I can only describe as a central opening within the middle of the building that's covered up at the very top which doesn't let the sun in. Other guests may be able to see into your unit if they make an effort. Cigarette smoke from staff members taking a break sometimes makes its way into the rooms. The beds are old and not very comfortable and some of the ceiling fans don't work. The bathrooms can be tight and cramped. The vanity, toilet and bidet in my units were light green and blue colored. Bring your flip flops because the floor can be cold. Water leaked from one of the fixtures in the restroom on the 2nd level. The bathroom towels were stiff as if dried outside on a line instead of a dryer. If you like soft clean smelling towels you won't like these. Without any sunlight coming into the room it was hard to tell what time it was. I would've liked some sunlight and a view but there is none. The breakfast was very basic cereal, milk, juice water, one fruit item like an orange, pastries and a piece of lunch meat and cheese. The hotel advertises free parking which is true however the parking area is a block and a half away in a garage that you have to drive onto the sidewalk to access. Due to all the one way streets you have to drive out of your way about a total of eight blocks in a circle to park your car and then walk a couple of blocks back to the hotel. It's a big pain if you forgot something in your car that you need in your hotel room. Free parking in front of the hotel is tight and limited to two spaces. The other spaces nearby will cost you about eight pesos per hour or so and is strictly enforced by guys in yellow vests who work for the city. You can double park with your hazard lights on for a short period of time without much difficulty. The best thing about the parking is that it is very secure and you don't have to worry too much about your car being safe. There were usually one or two other cars parked and plenty of other spaces available. On the positive points, the hotel is centrally located in the heart of Mendoza and if you're a guest on foot, it's within walking distance of tons of shopping and attractions. Some of the best restaurants and bars are within walking distance west of 9 de Julio along Avenida Colon. A double decker bus tour of the city is a short walk north on Avenida San Martin at the Sarmiento pedestrian walkway. A Catholic church is just one block away on Avenida Colon and San Martin. Tons of taxis are available that'll take you anywhere you want to go. The Palmares Open Mall is short drive to the south on Avenida San Martin. Convenience stores, coffee shops and pharmacies are located a short walk away. The staff at the hotel are very friendly and helpful if you need directions anywhere. As long as you speak Spanish you won't have any problem communicating with staff. I rate this hotel two stars because of the low comfort level and age. If you're a couple wanting a romantic stay in Mendoza you won't like this hotel very much but if you're a small family with kids a few of the rooms have two separate rooms with two single beds each with doors and individual air conditioning which is a nice feature.

Worse hotel that I even been!!....
Poor breakfast, no choice of protein, and when ordering comes a slice of mozzarella cheese and ham for each guest, lousy quality butter filled with water, hard breads, coffee served in an old thermos flask, artificial orange juice ), Old bathroom, dirty, leaking water, full of slime, the carpet in the rooms were so dirty they left our feet black, I stayed in 3 different rooms and they were all like that. Card machine did not pass my card, I traveled all over Argentina and Chile without any problem, only there it did not happen, that is, I lost the discount of the rates of 21% that I would be entitled to. My mother forgot the cell phone in the room and we left, a few hours later I sent an email asking if they could send to Brazil that would pay absolutely everything, besides the expenses people, but informed me that nothing was found in the room ... In short , Hotel of poor quality in the accommodations, service, hygiene and meals. Would not recommend to anyone, the photos seem to be clean and organized but personally it's a horror!

I should have read the reviews....
We rented 3 rooms for 3 people, the 3 of us had the same experience. Beds were old and uncomfortable, the place was very noisy, specially around 6am when people from other rooms started to wake up. Breakfast service was bad, tables were dirty and all 3 days we stayed we had to ask for clean cups for our coffee. Although its cheap compared with other hotels, I think there might be better options for the price.
