Spa, jacuzzi, massage

We tried the special offer of 25/min jacuzzi and 25/min massage. Norma attended us and gave great massages. We enjoyed the candles and aromas and the atmosphere, very relaxing. Definitely worth it for us who live in a stressful city to come here and unwind.

Dirty, old and frankly just te....

We are really surprised at the other reviews - please give Grand Crucero Hotel a miss - dirty, old, with very poor service. The rooms are dated and frankly dirty, as are the bathrooms. The breakfast was truly sparse - difficult to find anything to eat, frankly. We took a look at the swimming pool on the top floor - so ugly and disappointing. The hotel is located on the outskirts of town and thus, difficult to walk anywhere -- luckily there is a taxi stand just outside the hotel. As we only stayed one night, there was no need to change hotels. Had we stayed longer, we would have definitely moved. 1 star.

Excellent Hotel

We stayed 3 nights at the Grand Crucero. The hotel is located about a 20 min bus ride from the falls (very cheap local bus just outside hotel). The staff are very friendly and could not do enough to help us. Our room was spacious and exceptionally clean, balcony overlooked the front, the views were fabulous, everything was so lush and green. The large terrace pool was fab just what was need after a hot day around the falls. Breakfast was excellent so much choice, did not eat dinner so cannot comment, we ate at the El Quincho del Tio Querido which was about a 10 minute walk from the hotel, weekends they have tango which is great. Would definitely stay at the Grand Crucero should be ever have the opportunity to revisit the amazing falls.

Handy Location and the Staff d....

Not a bad place the staff are helpful and friendly but lack experience or direction. It takes a long while to get served and you're never sure if you're going to get what you ordered. The hotel itself does a reasonable breakfast buffet and dinner buffet. The hotel is located 30 minutes drive from the Argentinian side of the falls. The rooms are en-suite and spacious. Each room has a balcony with sufficient room for two deck chairs and a small table. I'd stay here again as for a few days you can put up with the shortcomings because the staff really do try.

Beware Room 333

We stayed here in March 2018 for 3 nights. Our room 333 was very large and at first we were pleased. However the view from the window was the unfinished roof of a bus station. When we got into bed we realised there were no bedside lights and the air conditioning was making an awful noise and there was no thermostat to turn it down so we had to turn it off and get hot. On closer inspection the room needed a lot of TLC - there was a blind missing and glass was cracked in the window and mirror. On a plus side the bed and pillows were comfortable. We spoke to the reception desk and they did send up two bedside lights but nothing was done about the air conditioning and we asked twice. So for 3 nights we sweltered as it was impossible to sleep with the noise the air conditioning made. There was also a cupboard for a fridge but there was no fridge. To get a drink one needed to pay cash or credit card but better to go to reception and add your credit card to the room number. We had a buffet on the first night which was adequate but I did not eat the bread as there was a fly on it. Breakfast too was a buffet. There was plenty of choice but the toaster barely browned the bread.
