Nice and very helpful
We stayed for three nights and got great recommendations what to do.
Nice places to go for dinner and also for activities around El Calafate.
As the shuttle didn't pick us up in the morning, Florence called the office and organised a taxi for us to the bus station (Caltur paid the taxi).
Thank you very much for all your efforts!

Great Place To Stay in a Great....
This place is a magnificent value. The kid who owns/runs the joint is amazingly cool. He is a craft beer nut/nerd and gives great advice on that subject. The included breakfast works (nothing too grand) but if you have the guts you can walk next door and slip into the FREE breakfast at the rich joint...but watch out the police station is right across the street ;) The location is perfect. if you have a car street parking is great.

Convenient and Quirky
The best thing about Amancay is its location – a quiet block off the main street downtown and easy access to several really wonderful restaurants (Mako, La Zaina). It is a budget hostal but has just enough hip and funky ambience that you look beyond the tired furnishings/plumbing in the room. Everything worked – it’s just old. And to be honest, I probably had my best nights’ sleep there. Juan and Florencia are perfect for this place – young, funny and energetic – and they do a great job with breakfast (included) and any other service you might need (laundry etc.). Off the breakfast room is a small kitchen available to guests if they want to prepare their own dinners etc.

Cosy, friendly and great break....
We only stayed one night here but found it to be a pleasant stay. The room was really clean, comfortable beds and pillows. Really warm heater and hot water for the cold evenings.
Breakfast was well presented and was delicious - included cake! (And Cereal, toast, strong coffee, yoghurt)
The social spaces were creative, quirky and well decorated with colourful and original items (e.g. wine bottle lampshades). This gave the building a cosy feel.
Both hosts were extremely welcoming and professional -
We couldn't find the hostel at first - so if you are walking from Av.Del Libertador/ gral.San Martín go down 7 De Diciembre
and turn left just past the Amrok hotel.
We would strongly recommend this hostel/guest house.

Feels like home
We stayed three nights in Amancay Hostal and really enjoyed our time there. The hosts Florence and Juan are very nice, give great recommendations and make you feel like being at home during the stay. The room is big enough as well as the bathroom. Therefore the price/value balance is good. You'll find everything you need for your time there. The breakfast is continental with coffee, tee, cereals, yoghurt, juice, toast, butter and jam. A bit more choice would be nice, but it was a "standard" Argentinian breakfast.
Thanks again to the two hosts, for making our stay so great!!!
