Trip in buenos aires
Is this an hostel? Come on i cannot believe this place has the rights to be open. This is the wrost hostel in the world. It is completelly dirty and damn old. Nothing is working. The toilette was dirty and broken. There was the sh.t of other people there. And the pe.. on the floor. The smel is bad, and all the hostel is bad. The people there are not friendly at all. The activities are stupid and too much expensive. All is done just to get money. I cannot understand why i place like this exists. It must be closed by the police. It is dangerous. For hours there isn't the electricity. I have 1 star because to give zero was not possiple. This hostel is a joke. Please close it soon.

Quality stay, great staff!
My friends and I stayed at The Ritz from 21 - 25/11/15.
The location is perfect with fantastic views spreading along the main strip, as well as being on Av. de Mayo which was a short walk to most of the must sees and must dos.
Our rooms were spacious with a private bathroom in each (although this may not be the case for all rooms). The hostel itself was quiet and clean, while the staff were attentive and very friendly.

The worst hostel ever!
This hostel was really horrible! The worst place i have ever been in my life!i booked this place with a range of 3.5 on tripadvisor and 8.1 on hostelworld, I don't know how people can put good review in this place!the room was a disaster! Really old and small and with a bathroom that didn't work!i stayed with my escremnets in the wc for 2 days and i had to go to public toilet for washing me and other things!nobody helped me, all lazy people in reception. Then the kitchen was just a small and smelly room without fire for cooking!crazy!all the place was dirty and destroyed, on italy a similar place would be close in 2 days!stay away from this place!

Very good value
This hostel was fantastic value for money. We had a massive private room for an amazingly cheap price. The location was perfect, staff were great, and the room was quite clean. One of the main issues with the hostel is the kitchen. They have one working burner for the whole hostel. This could easily be fixed if they buy a new electric hotplate to go along with the one they have. We would stay at Ritz again without a second thought

Nice place, some minor issues ....
Comfy beds, quiet enough rooms (street noise drowned out with ear plugs no problem).
A few issues: 1) No enough bathrooms - there are 2 bathrooms (each with toilet & shower) for each floor, with around 10 rooms per floor. We're in a dorm with 6 beds - not sure how many other dorms vs. doubles the other rooms are. 2) Power kept cutting out on our side of the building on the 2nd floor. Easy to restore, just had to walk down the hall to the breaker and flip it back on, but was a pain to do 4-7 times a night, depending on the night. 3) Kitchen facilities are lacking. The kitchen doesn't have an oven or stove, only a hot plate and only 1 burner on the hot plate works. So it takes a very long time to cook things properly (also missing a lot of dishes and pots), especially if several people are waiting to use the only working burner.
Good news: Fantastic location, beds are comfortable and breakfast is one of the best we've had in months of staying at hostels. Overall decent value for money and the issues are managable if you don't mind some minor inconvenience.
