Park Royal Buenos Aires
Very nice modern room, good location & friendly staff. I have stayed in many hotels in Buenos Aires and this was one of my most enjoyable even if it was for only one night, Definitely will stay here again.

Family vacationing in BA
We are a family of 5 and went to BA to visit family. We chose this hotel because it had two rooms and two bathrooms. The rooms were very simple but clean. The showers leaked water onto the floors, but they were cleaned up daily, so it was just more of a nuisance. The air conditioner worked great so while the breakfast area was stifling hot, our room was nice and cool and we could keep it at whatever temperature we wanted. We loved the location - with easy access to park, taxis, subways, etc. We were within walking distance to all the places we wanted to see and we felt safe in this area at night. I would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a great location for a good price, but it was not luxurious in the least bit.

A good value overall
We stayed in this hotel for nine nights, so I know it fairly well. It has a lot of things going for it and only a couple of weaknesses, but they are non-trivial ones.
On the positive side, the location is excellent. It is about 2 blocks from a nice park, and a subway stop (on Line C) is on the way. There are many shops and mid-range restaurants in the neighborhood. While it is not Buenos Aires’s finest neighborhood, it is in a very good part of town.
The rooms are fairly large, as far as I can tell. I say it that way because we stayed in a “Presidential” suite (2 bedrooms, living room, 2 baths), and it had a lot of space. (Interestingly, we paid only $40 a night more than those who booked the smallest suites.) Some rooms obviously had less space, but I did not hear anyone complain about being cramped.
The housekeeping staff, at least on my floor, was excellent. They replenished soap, shampoo, etc., frequently, and they tied the towels with ribbons. I got the feeling that our housekeeper was doing his very best to please us.
The front desk staff is gracious and seems to want to be of assistance. Unfortunately (and this surprises me, given that the hotel is in a major city), most of them have a hard time communicating in English. I was able to bumble through conversations with them using my elementary Spanish, but some members of our group found the interactions frustrating and would ask those of us with a little Spanish skill to handle their interchanges with the front desk.
Now, the weaknesses. As other reviewers have noted, Wifi access is a challenge on certain floors. Ironically, some of the largest suites are on the upper floors (we were on floor 9), and the Wifi was quite undependable. On some occasions, I could not even download a full Word document without starting it over, and there were sporadic outages that could last minutes or hours. One member of our group had a suite on the 12th floor, and he reported that his service was good there, so that leads me to think they may have a router on the top floor. Those on the 2nd floor were also happy with their Wifi. However, those around floors 6-9 had many complaints. This is apparently a well-known issue for hotel management based on reviewers’ comments, and I am unclear as to why they have not added some more routers.
Another area of true weakness is the breakfast. It even became a source of great humor in our group. The only offerings are a couple of flavors of juice, one or two flavors of pourable yogurt, a few fruits (often canned), and some starchy items such as not-very-fresh croissants. There is a toaster with bread. Each day, one large bowl of cereal is offered; during our first five or six days, it contained Fruit Loops, and they switched to corn flakes about halfway through our stay. On about our fifth day, they added a plate of ham and cheese, both of which were quite good, and that did provide some protein to start the day. Coffee and tea are also provided. Overall, it is a rather spartan breakfast service, and one tires of it quickly.
In the arena of a humorous complaint, we were guests from January 1 to January 10, and the sound system in the lobby and the breakfast area was apparently set to play a continuous loop of what seemed like no more than five instrumental holiday songs: We Three Kings, When a Child Is Born, etc. I thought perhaps they were continuing the holiday music until Epiphany, which I think is called the “Dia de Reyes” (Day of Kings) on January 6, but it continued beyond that day. One can only hope that they rotate to a different music mix. I imagine it will brighten the lives of the staff members if they can listen to something else rather than those same songs hour after hour after hour…
Putting those gripes aside, if I could get a room on a floor with better Wifi (perhaps on the 2nd floor, which has smaller suites), I would stay here again. It’s a pleasant place that (for the most part) tries hard. For the price point, one is unlikely to do a whole lot better.

Relaxing stay in central Bueno....
A good mid level hotel (timeshare swap for us) a comfortable walking distance to all the central shopping and eating areas of BA.
Many beautiful old buildings and parks in the area.
Suggest visiting the Old Port Area, Caminito, La Boca Stadium (south BA), the restored Dock Area and Restaurants (mid BA) plus the parks and embassies in the Palermo Area (North BA).
Throw in a Tango show - the above will keep you busy in BA - then there is the rest of Argentina to explore.

Good location, average experie....
If you are traveling on business and location trumps amenities / experience, this property will work for you. The bed was lumpy. Poor lighting in the bathroom, but shower pressure and temperature were good! No English television channels. The workout area was depressing and I didn’t try the breakfast.
the front desk staff helpful in checking me in early (noon) and provided me a power adapter for my visit. Would prob stay again due to the proximity to many wonderful sights in BA.
