They moved me to a different p....

I booked through a booking platform I've used in the past offering always great deals. This time seems to be a great one. I arrived on a late Friday after a 10 hour flight, no front desk available. I only received an envelope with the great news that I've been moved to a different property 5 blocks away. No one was there to answer any type of questions, was almost midnight, so I moved to the other property in Pueyrredon avenue. Once I arrived, the place was dark, the apartment was good size and good location, but the linens were dirty. The whole place was really uncomfortable because of the lack of cleanliness in the first place and because of the no communication of location change. Next morning I tried for more than half hour to communicate to the provided number to ask for assistance but nobody answer. They communicate on the paper inside the envelope I need to to check out before 9 am... 9 am!... they do not offer luggage storage, because as I mentioned before, there is no front desk, no assistance on the phone. I was really dissapointed because they offer one great facility and at the end, they move guests to some other property that is not what I paid for, is not what they offer on the booking system, and nobody answer by any way. I wouldn't recommend the place to anyone. Next morning I changed to a proper hotel, of course, with high rates, but definitely, I cannot stay there!

Dirty room 8B upon arrival

We have stayed at IQ Callao many times, including having many of our wedding guests stay here 6 years ago. This time, however, we had a BIG FAIL upon arrival since our room 8B had been used and not cleaned. We found and unmade bed, dirty dishes in the kitchenette sink, and a really dirty bathroom. Thankfully, we're fluent in Spanish and were able to go down and complain to the guard in the building (it was Sunday afternoon and hence nobody from IQ at the Lobby) and he called somebody and they switched us to another room. Still, with so many options in Buenos Aires, this was a big downer and we may look elsewhere next time.

Decent quality

Stayed here for a few days while visiting BA. Apartments have a nice design and enough space to stay 2 people for some time. Location was good for us as it offered a central location in between areas we wanted to visit. Standard is ok but in need of some maintenance, it seems like quick fixes are being used when repairing. We had some problems that we pointed out and were told the handyman would come next week, little use when we were leaving same Friday. Water pressure in the shower is bad but this might be a BA thing. The breakfast is offered at a near by cafe and is limited to medialunas and a hot drink. You are better of eating breakfast elsewhere.

WiFi Internet interference and....

They have at least 3 routers per flor. Before 2 weeks they are improve speed based on the main gateway but infrastructure of routers with shared network surveillance cameras on the same subnet is disaster. They don't have wall plug for internet in apt. Master router on the PB is down every 2 days and only this one is with full throughput like PB hot spot. Channel redistribution is not created and people all the time complaining. I was here before 1y and they have still the same problem. Use PLC or implement QoS in each router. Crome cast and Apple TV is imposible to use.

Nice Studio apartment in Recol....

When I go to Buenos Aires, I like to stay in apartments instead of hotels. For 2 to 4 weeks, it is much more comfortable, and usually a lot less expensive. I had a unit on the 9th floor, and its layout and storage was great. All the rooms have a balcony. I like the back of the building for less street noise. The front dest service was excellent. (Note: even though this is listed as a hotel, the front desk is only staffed 8-5, Mon to Sat.) Basically each apartment is independently owned. Some owners own several. A few people live there year round, but basically most are then put into the rental pool. Having said that, some units may not be furnished well, or kept in good repair. My unit was right below the pool, and it was obvious the pool is leaking. Also a bit noisy during the pool hours (9-22 hrs) as most of the roof deck noises come through. Also to note, and this is known up front, the cleaning is done weekly, as is standard on apartment rentals, but not for hotels. This for me is fine. You can also get towels refreshed for a fee (something not available on most apartment rentals) Having a pool and deck was great for afternoon relaxation and sun. THe gym is not great, and some of the equipment was in disrepair ( elipticals). The only very negative thing was the WIFI is VERY slow, and sometimes just won't connect. The only place it seems strong is in the lobby, and at night you will see several people on their laptops sitting there. The routers were reset several times but the problem persisted. Overall it is a nice size apartment for 1, or 2, people., in a great location. Service was great, and I would defintely go back again. It also was a lot less expensive than renting private apartments through a rental service.
