Cheap and cheerful
I stayed here for a week because it was cheap, I quite bad area at night but the hotel itself was very good value for money with a clean room and good facilities, wifi was ok and breakfast passable. If you have to stay in BA on a budget and dont mind a rough area this is the place. They also have secure parking at an extra cost

Close to Constitucion Station,....
I choose this hotel because it offered the cheapest individual room in Buenos Aires (19 USD per night). Regular price according to the table of prices in the lobby is 380 ARS (45 USD). It is 5-10 minutes by feet away from the Constitucion Station, which is a large railway station with a metro and a big bus station as well. I got a double room with twin beds. There was an old TV in my room which didn't work - as I only speak little spanish, I didn't intend to watch TV anyway, so I didn't complain. The beds are very comfortable, although the blankets were a little bit weird, because it wasn't covered in linen, just a normal blanket. There was not too much noise at night, just a few cars passing the nearby street, so I got a good sleep. Breakfast was a little bit disappointing, unfortunately no buffet, just two croissants, butter, jelly and coffee. Furthermore, there was no hot water after noon, which was very annoying as I slept for a longer time. Besides, the Wifi in the room was very poor (2nd floor), my phone couldn't connect most of the time, so I went to the lobby when I wanted to use it. The neighbourhood didn't seem to dangerous to me. I arrived at 1:30 AM and left at 3 AM and I had to walk from/to the nearby bus/metro station. I didn't encounter anybody dangerous. Until midnight there are some prostitutes, but that's all. Staff was friendly and spoke partly English.
