Was a mistake

Not all rooms were the same but mine was small and dated. Bathroom, bed, blankets, towels.. everything was ok but old. Services are minimal. It is a busy street during day. There is a Starbucks near by, so that is a way to solve breakfast.

Average hotel, poor breakfast.

This hotel is in a good location near the centre of Buenos Aires (so within walking distance of the Casa Rosada etc) so from a location perspective it was really good. The hotel seems too big though and not maintained enough - there is something like 20+ floors, but of the 2 lifts only one was working which meant you had to wait each and every time you wanted to go to / from your room. Also the breakfast area was nowhere near big enough - despite having a large seating area on the ground floor for some reason breakfast was served in a small area on the second floor, and there were only about 8 tables for all the guests - it was not enough which meant you had to either wait for a table or share with someone you didn't know. The standard of the food served was also poor. The rooms were acceptable but nothing fancy - our room was a little dark (in need of some better lightbulbs!) and the "jacuzzi" in the bath-tub looked so old and horrible I'd be amazed if anybody used it. In general the room wasn't bad though. Other than the location the only other good thing was a fairly helpful and attentive front desk staff (they helped print our boarding passes for example). Overall - not a bad option for the location, but don't expect 5-star.

The hotel is closed

We had been booked into the Aspen Towers hotel by Cruiseline .com for one night last week after coming off of our cruise ship. Upon arrival at the hotel we were told that it is closed. No details about whether the hotel is closed permanently or for a. period of renovation were made available to us. Obviously we had to go to another hotel.

Visit to Buenos Aires - 10 day....

Location was excellent. Hotel does not have a bar, nor restaurant as advertised. Bed was comfortable, bathroom outdated, but shower had great pressure. Towels were very old and torn, and they only gave you two(2) with only one hand towel. Noisy if you are located on the front of the hotel at lower floors. No coffee or Tea in rooms. Service Desk and staff were nice people. However, Ladies, please don't second guest what you brought as cologne, makeup and sunglasses ..I was missing my cologne, makeup brush, and blush and thought maybe I left it at home and didn't want to accuse anyone. I set it out on the counter and was pretty sure that I did that, however, I just didn't want to believe it was taken. However, upon my return home my cologne, blush, and makeup brush were not on my vanity, therefore I am now convinced it was taken on the first day. I didn't report because I wasn't sure, but I questioned myself, so don't do that. If you miss something, report it right away. The front desk was quite helpful to us and I believe they would have handled the situation. We did tip our housekeeper very well at the end of our stay. I travel the world and would have given this hotel at least a 3 rating but with the towels, carpet, and outdated room appearance which we arranged through American Express Travel, I just couldn't believe it... I asked to pay for an upgrade, but I believe I was already in an upgraded room. Definitely not a four star. I rank it as a budget hotel, with a pretty lobby. There are many other hotels nearby that are in the same location that you can stay better than this one. American Express, Hotel.com, and others rank it as four stars but it is not. Because we were out everyday for the 10 days and spent little time in the room, we made the best of it. It was however, very clean in a convenient location.

Excellent locatiion, premises ....

We've just spent 21 happy days at this hotel in the Buenos Aires CBD. The rooms and bathrooms are big and the furniture elegant. We were in the 6th floor at the front but the street noise was tolerable. All the staff at this hotel are very friendly and efficient and keen to help. The reception staff are very polite and speak good English. Breakfast is included and it is plentiful, even when the Brazilians descend on it. Just watch your toast, in case some hungry person gets it first. The breakfast area is small, but you never have to wait too long to get a table. Just avoid peak hours, if you can. The street is well illuminated and there are two mini supermarkets nearby and a million kiosks around that have a bit of everything. A traditional coffee shop in the corner, St Moritz is a highlight. Wine Bar and classy burger joint next door and also a bank. Around the corner you can find many eateries and a great valet laundromat across the road. The business centre works most of the time. The cleaning staff are great and our room was cleaned every day and we got new towels even if we didn't need them. All in all a great experience. Highly recommended.
