Nice Grounds and Spacious 1 & ....
This is not a full service hotel but is a great place if you are traveling with kids and want to rent a car and visit all the beaches during the day and just return here in the later part of the afternoon and let the kids swim in the pool while the adults enjoy a drink by the pool. We stayed here for a week. We cooked breakfast in the room every morning and had lunch out and ordered dinner in from the local restaurants which do not deliver but they are close and in fact one is right across the street. We had a couple of cats as visitors each morning and afternoon. My daughter called one Sweetie (female) and the other Scratchy (male). The female was very sweet but the male not so, hence the names my daughter gave them. We will definitely return here again in the future. There are a lot of stray animals on the island.

A place to get away and escape from the daily routine with a fabulous view! Although we should have been doing school work my friend and I laughed, talked and the view made it so comfortable to nodd off a few time. When we needed a picker upper it was easy to go to the kitchen and get what we wanted from the well equipped kitchen.

I have been lucky enough to find an absolute hidden gem, this hotel offers great value and very spacious rooms over 2 floors. It is a walk to the beach but the pool is always inviting and clean. The staff are very friendly and helpful & my only comment is that you really need a car as it is situated out of town.

Great value for money
We have just returned from our 3rd visit to Dickenson Bay cottages. For a family on a budget this offers exceptional value. The accommodation is spacious and comfortable and set in beautifully maintained gardens. Karimah is always on hand to help, along with her friendly and helpful staff. Proximity to the beach and restaurants is good and the fact that we are re-booking for next year says it all.

Very variable! Pros, Cons and ....
Large, spacious accommodation with loads of room, well-stocked kitchen, plenty of room on the terrace.
When it was quiet, it was lovely and quiet
It sometimes got VERY noisy. Over half of the rooms were booked by people with children under 10, including a third of the rooms booked by one extended family group. No problem, children need holidays too and of course they're going to make a noise in the pool, it's a holiday, but we had been assured that this was a really quiet place and that we did not need to worry about noise at all. It would help if places were honest about their environment, or didn't take huge bookings for one group in a small complex. Really, no problem with families - we just would have appreciated knowing before we booked.
We asked over two months before not to be in a room by the pool, but that's exactly where our room was. They did not promise to honour our request, but it would have been nice to have been accommodated with so much warning.
Service was a bit iffy - we had to keep asking for things and one day our room wasn't serviced at all. However, when the toilet broke, it was fixed straight away.
Hire a car and get out. The supermarket is half an hour's walk, or 5 minutes drive.
If you want peace and quiet drive a little further along the beach to Beach Limerz - it was really lovely there and the food was good too.
Really tasty fish and chips is served from a van on the road down to the beach by Sandles every Wednesday and Friday.
The view from the terrace at Trade Winds hotel is stunning. Just up the road 100m and turn right. Very decent food too.
Pari's serves awesome pizza.
Overall we had a good week because we got out, but it wasn't what we'd planned. Maybe we were unlucky, but I think the number of times we had to deal with hours of noisy pool activity has discouraged us from returning. Perhaps it's going for a different vibe than advertised.
