Package Itinerary

Day 1 DAY 1: TUE. Arrival in Madrid | Overnight in Madrid

TODAY’S HIGHLIGHTS: Evening transport to the Gran Vía district
Welcome to Madrid! The capital city of Spain, it is the third largest city in the European Union. While it boasts of a modern infrastructure, it has preserved the look and feel of many of its historic neighbourhoods and streets. Upon your arrival at the airport, get a transfer to the hotel, where a guide would be waiting to greet you; he/she shall provide you with all the necessary information about this exciting trip.
Towards the end of the day, get transfers to the attractions like Egyptian Debod temple, Plaza de España and Gran Via. The Egyptian temple of Debod is an actual ancient temple from Egypt that was transferred block after block to downtown Madrid after 1968. The temple was originally saved from the rising waters of the Lake Nasser in southern Egypt when a dam was built in the nearby area.
Plaza de España is located at a walking distance from the temple. A large town square, this place is a popular tourist destination from where important monuments and buildings are accessible quite easily. Walk a little ahead and reach Gran Via, an upscale and vibrant shopping street. Known as the street that never sleeps, it has the most nightlife in entire Europe. Here, you could dine at your preferred restaurant: Indian, Chinese, Spanish and Middle Eastern being some of the options.

Day 2 DAY 2: WED. Madrid City Tour | Overnight in Madrid

TODAY’S HIGHLIGHTS: Madrid city tour | Visit to the Plaza de Toros de las Ventas bullring | A stroll through the Retiro Park
Wake up to a beautiful morning on this exciting Spanish vacation and head for a sumptuous breakfast buffet. After this, head for a guided city tour to know the city through its many attractions. Visit the vibrant centre/square in Madrid known as the Plaza Mayor (Main Square). This grand arcaded square features a beautiful uniform architecture with lush avenues and fountains. Now, head to Plaza de Toros de las Ventas (tickets included), a popular bullring building with a seating capacity of around 25,000 people.
After such a fun and exciting rendezvous with history and the culture of the city, take a walking tour of the beautiful Retiro Park, one of the largest of its kind in Madrid. This park used to be under the rule of the Spanish monarchy until later it got converted into a public space. This experience is sure to get enhanced with a stunning view of the lake and the Crystal Palace, a beautiful glass and metal structure situated inside the park.
If you wish to explore more, there is an optional visit to the Royal Palace, the official residence of the Spanish royal family. At sunset, get a transfer to the Plaza de Oriente in the historic centre of Madrid, located opposite the Royal Palace. Here, there are many restaurants with a variety of cuisines to offer, namely Indian, Middle Eastern, Spanish and other international options. After a fun day full of excitement, return to the hotel for a comfortable overnight’s stay.

Day 3 DAY 3: THU. Madrid - Zaragoza - Poblet - Montserrat - Barcelona | Overnight in Barcelona

TODAY´S HIGHLIGHTS: Basílica del Pilar | A visit to medieval monastery | Ride on a rack train
Early in the morning, leave Madrid and continue your journey towards Aragón, taking a stop at its capital city, Zaragoza. Enjoying its status as Spain’s fifth largest city, it has a plethora of cultural and historical sites for everyone to enjoy. A guide would be joining the group along to take you to Basilica del Pilar, one of the main attractions in the city. The grandiose basilica was built in the year 1681 designed by the Spanish architects Felipe Sánchez and Herrera. The design got later modified in the 18th century by Ventura Rodríguez, a Spanish architect and artist.
Having absorbed the architecture and culture of such an amazing structure, you would have some free time to spend at the city centre. After this, head to Catalonia to visit the Monastery of Poblet (entrance and guided tour included), a Cistercian monastery founded in the year 1151. It is said to be founded by a few Cistercian monks from France on a land that was won and occupied over from the Moors. Now, proceed towards the Monastery of Montserrat located atop the Montserrat Mountain. This 1,200 metres high mountain provides a mesmerizing view of the landscape of Catalonia. A ride on the rack train is included for you to enjoy all these fantastic views.
After such a fun and eventful day, continue on the road towards Barcelona and arrive at the hotel by late afternoon. Complete the check-in formalities and retreat to your cosy rooms for a comfortable overnight’s stay.
Please Note: During the winter months from November to March, the visit to Monastery of Poblet shall not be included due to the shorter day spans. This is done to ensure that the group reaches Montserrat during daylight.

Day 4 DAY 4: FRI. Barcelona City Tour | Overnight in Barcelona

TODAY’S HIGHLIGHTS: Barcelona city tour | “Spanish Village” visit and evening transfer to Las Ramblas district
Today morning, relish upon a scrumptious breakfast spread and head out on a city tour to get to know the beautiful city of Barcelona. This capital city of the Catalonia community overlooks the clear blue waters of the Mediterranean Sea that provides it in return an exotic and lush vibe.
The tour would include a local expert who would guide you with all the details and information about the city.
(Note: If the group has fewer than fifteen people, explanations can be given by our guide.)
Start from the historic central area of the city that houses a Gothic neighbourhood dating back to the Middle Ages. While on the tour, also visit the space where the Olympic Games were held. You could see and photograph the La Sagrada Familia Basilica, A Roman Catholic church designed by the Catalan Spanish architect Antoni Gaudí. The work done by him on the structure is in fact a part of a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The tour also include entry tickets to Poble Espanyol or Spanish Village, an open-air architectural museum that houses many theatres, restaurants, artisan workshops and a museum of contemporary art.
After this, you get some free time to explore the city on your own. In the evening, get a transfer to Las Ramblas and Plaza de Cataluna area. Here, you could choose from a good variety of restaurants offering a plethora of cuisines like Indian, Chinese and also the regional Spanish delicacies. Having absorbed the beauty and many charms of Barcelona, return to the hotel for a comfortable overnight’s stay.

Today morning, enjoy a hearty breakfast buffet at the hotel and travel south along the Mediterranean Sea. Make a stop at Peñiscola, a province of Castellon region in Valencia. The town is known for its superb location as it is surrounded by sea on three sides. There is also a beautiful castle, a medieval wall and streets full of white houses. A guide would accompany you and provide all the necessary information about the town. After a brief introduction, explore the recesses of this gorgeous place seeing the castle, beach and even the fishing port. Take a pause between the sightseeing for some lunch.
After this, continue on your journey towards Valencia, the 3rd largest city in Spain. This exotic port city is situated on the banks of river Turia and has a historic centre which is one of the largest in Spain. Here, visit the City of Arts and Sciences, an entertainment based cultural and architectural complex. Now, proceed towards Valencia’s iconic historic centre where the guide would accompany you to the cathedral.
In the evening, you would get a transfer to Plaza de Toros, a bullring that was built in a neoclassical style. In the area surrounding this place, you could dine at a place of your choice. Day 7 DAY 7: MON. Granada City Tour | Overnight in Granada

TODAY’S HIGHLIGHTS: Entrance and local guide in the Alhambra | Evening transfer
Early in the morning, relish on a delectable breakfast and proceed for the Granada city Tour. Visit the Alhambra Palace (tickets and guide included), a palace and fortress complex that pays a heartfelt tribute to the Moorish culture. Both the fort and the palace uses a fine blend of the medieval architectural designs to create a masterpiece that has been accredited in the list of the World Heritage sites. Here, a local guide would accompany you to provide all the tiny as well as important bits of information about this place. As the afternoon is free, enjoy lunch and explore the Cathedral along with the sepulchre of the Catholic Kings.
Later, get an evening transfer to the Plaza de Gracia in Granada’s city centre. Here, the culture of this gorgeous city seems to amalgamate into a plethora of delectable cuisine options like Chinese, Latin, Spanish, International, etc. After such a fun evening, you would be given an option to attend the Flamenco dance show, a dance art form indigenous to the beautiful country of Spain. Also, there would also be an option to visit the traditional neighbourhood of Sacramonte.
Please note: At the Alhambra complex, the Nazari palace allows only a limited number of people inside at a time. In the highly improbable case of not being able to visit this area of the Alhambra, a visit to the Alcázares would be included in Seville (a place having a similar architecture and features).

Day 8 DAY 8: TUE. Granada - Malaga - Marbella - Ronda - Seville | Overnight in Seville

TODAY’S HIGHLIGHTS: Get to see the beautiful Andalusian village of Ronda
Today morning, leave Granada and travel to Costa del Sol, a beautiful region in southern Spain. Reach Malaga, a city in this region rich in history and culture of Spain. Upon your arrival, go for a stroll at the city’s historic centre visiting its cathedral and the Picasso Museum. This well-maintained museum is dedicated to the life of the world-famous artist Pablo Picasso, who was born in the city of Malaga. There are about 285 works by the painter-artist in the museum, all contributed by his family.
Post this visit, continue on your journey along the coastal motorway absorbing the mesmerizing views of the Mediterranean waters. Visit Puerto Banus on your way, a picturesque marina located southwest of Marbella on Costa de Sol. After this, you would have some time for lunch.
In the afternoon, continue towards the hills and the many amazing sceneries of this gorgeous country and arrive at Ronda. This cute little town all painted in white is situated atop a mountain above a deep gorge in the city of Malaga and is known to be the oldest of its kind in Spain. Having romanced the air and sceneries of this culturally and visually enriched place, continue towards Seville. Arrive at the end of the afternoon in this capital city of southern Spain’s Andalusia region. The things which make this place famous are its flamenco dancing and a rich historical background.

Day 9 DAY 9: WED. Seville City Tour | Overnight in Seville

TODAY’S HIGHLIGHTS: Guided visit with local expert in Seville | Night transfer to the historic city centre
After breakfast, take a scenic city tour of Seville including the sites such as the Seville Cathedral and its famous Giralda. The structure is in fact the largest Gothic cathedral and the third-largest church in the world. A local expert would be present to guide you through this visit, which also includes places like the banks of the Guadalquivir River, popular neighbourhoods in the Santa Cruz area and Triana and the beautiful Plaza de España.
Please note: If the group has fewer than 15 travellers, there is a possibility of the visit to be arranged in both Spanish and English.

After this, you would get some leisure time. At the end of the afternoon, get a transfer to the historic city centre area at Calle Alfonso XII. Here, you could try food from a plethora of different restaurants offering cuisines like Indian, Chinese, Spanish and International.

Day 10 DAY 10: THU. Sevilla - Cordoba - Consuegra - Madrid

TODAY’S HIGHLIGHTS: Visit to Mosque of Cordoba |Windmills in Consuegra
On the last day of this trip, leave Seville and proceed towards Cordoba passing along the valley of Guadalquivir. Cordoba is a city located in southern Andalusia, which was a major Islamic centre during the Middle Ages. You would get some free time to explore the city as per you like. Then, a local guide would accompany you on your visit to La Mezquita, an immense mosque that later got converted into a Catholic church. Its architecture exhibits older Byzantine mosaics which are a treat to anyone’s eyes. After lunch, head to the Castilian lands and take a stop at Consuegra, where there are many giant windmills and a castle that has many stories to tell from the town’s rich history. While here, visit the Venta Bolero windmill to get the experience of this town first-hand.
Ending the sightseeing shenanigans in this beautiful country, continue towards Madrid and reach by end of the day. Your great Spanish vacation ends here. Hope you have a pleasant trip full of amazing things and experiences.
