Day 1 Arrival in Adelaide

An incredibly diverse land both culturally and geographically, Australia is one of the most popular destinations in the world. It is a sheer delight for all type of travellers - be it campers, backpackers, art lovers, or fashion enthusiasts - there's something for everyone in Australia. Your exciting, fascinating yet extravagant journey in Australia would begin with your arrival in Adelaide. Mainly known for its wine and food culture, Adelaide is dotted with some of the finest cathedrals and spires that can leave one mesmerized with their stunning architecture.

 From the Adelaide airport, board your vehicle, which would directly take you to hotel in CBD (central business district) for a comfortable overnight stay.

Day 2 Adelaide Sightseeing

After savouring a delicious breakfast, get ready to discover Adelaide through a sightseeing tour. Your driver/guide would introduce you to this delightful city, which is surrounded by parklands with a blend of historic buildings, wide streets, cafés, and restaurants. Drive past Adelaide's cultural precinct - North Terrace, National Wine Centre, Adelaide Botanic Gardens, the beautiful Botanic Park - home to the Bicentennial Conservatory and Adelaide Zoo. Continue through historic North Adelaide, where you would see tree-lined streets, mansions and historic buildings. Stop and visit the iconic St. Peters Cathedral or the newly developed Adelaide Oval, depending on the route taken for the tour. Then travel through the city's east on the way to the Haigh's Chocolates Visitor Centre for a factory tour and a taste of the famous South Australian chocolate. After viewing these amazing attractions, return to the city via the South Parklands, West Terrace and North Terrace.

 

As the day comes to an end, head back to your room for a comfortable overnight stay.

 

Please Note:

Haigh's Chocolate factory tour & tastings do not operate on Sundays and South Australian Public Holidays, therefore, for these days, the itinerary will be changed to include a visit to the National Wine Centre, located on the edge of Adelaide's stunning Botanic Gardens. You would have free time to explore the iconic building with an opportunity to purchase morning tea at the café or taste wine from the extensive Australian wine collection (own expense). The National Wine Centre will be closed on Good Friday, Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year's Day; on these days you could further explore the city.

Day 3 Adelaide to Kangaroo Island | Best of KI Cruise

Start the day with a delicious breakfast, and later you would be picked from your hotel for a 2-day Best of Kangaroo Island Tour. Enjoy a scenic coach trip through the Fleurieu Peninsula to Cape

Jervis. On arrival, board the Sealink ferry for a 45-minutes crossing to Penneshaw on Kangaroo Island to join your coach tour. Your first stop would be Emu Ridge Eucalyptus Distillery to learn about the history of the oil distillery with a guided tour, followed by an opportunity to purchase Eucalyptus products. Then travel to Vivonne Bay Bistro located on a 260-hectare bush property, for a two-course lunch. Post lunch, visit Seal Bay Conservation Park and enjoy a guided beach walk with a National Park Ranger, amongst a breeding colony of wild and rare Australian Sea Lions.

 

Later visit another amazing wildlife attraction - the In-flight Birds of Prey Display. Enjoy a delightful interactive experience and meet an array of birds and raptors. From here you will travel to Kangaroo Island Wildlife Park where you can get up close with Koalas, see Penguins swim and play, hand feed Kangaroos and Wallabies, learn about endangered species and interact with snakes, crocodiles and reptiles. You would then be transferred to your chosen accommodation for an overnight stay.

Day 4 Kangaroo Island Full Day Tour | Arrival in Adelaide

After a delicious breakfast, begin this day with a visit to Clifford’s Honey Farm to enjoy an informative talk by the beekeeper, followed by tastings. Also get an opportunity to sample homemade honey ice-cream and honey beauty products. Next, travel to Hanson Bay Visitor Centre Cafe for a two-course lunch. After lunch, you have the chance to look for Koalas nestled up in the eucalypts and see an abundance of native bird life in the wildlife sanctuary. From here, travel to the westernmost part of the Island, Flinders Chase National Park - one of Australia’s largest and earliest conservation parks. Travel through the park and enjoy breath-taking views of its unique trees, plants and coastal scenery. You will be taken to the rugged southern coastline for a walk around Remarkable Rocks and Admirals Arch, which provides great photographic opportunities and stunning sea views. Admirals Arch boardwalk takes you down a rugged cliff face to reveal this spectacular arch, a natural nursery and safe haven for playful long-nosed Fur Seals that can be seen swimming and playing in the waves or resting on the rocks. Your tour concludes at Penneshaw where you board the Sealink ferry to Cape Jervis before boarding the coach to Adelaide. Tour concludes at approximately 10:40 pm, post which you would be dropped at your hotel for a good night’s rest.

Day 5 Transfer from Adelaide to Alice Springs (Flight not included)

This day would be your last in Adelaide as you head towards the next destination of your holiday - Alice Springs - Australia's red centre rich in culture and history. It can simply mesmerize anyone with its stark beauty and exciting landscapes. Check-out from the Adelaide hotel and head to the airport to board a flight to Alice Springs. From the airport, you would be transferred to the hotel in Alice Springs for a relaxing and comfortable overnight stay.

Day 6 Full Day Palm Valley Tour

Savour a scrumptious breakfast and board an Alice Wanderer vehicle from your hotel for a full day tour of Palm Valley. Travel through the West MacDonnell Ranges to the historic Hermannsburg Precinct, then journey along the ancient Finke River to Palm Valley for morning tea. Wander amongst the relict Palms and Cycads before exploring Kalarranga Lookout. Return to the Hermannsburg Historic Precinct for a ploughman’s lunch before exploring the historic buildings and art gallery featuring works by the famous Aboriginal artist Albert Namatjira. Tour concludes at approximately 5.30 pm, post which you would be dropped to the hotel for a comfortable overnight stay.

Day 7 Alice Springs to Ayers Rock Resort

Start the day with a delectable breakfast. Later a coach would pick you up from your hotel to commence your transfer to Ayers Rock Resort. Travel south from Alice Springs through the MacDonnell Ranges. Stop at a camel farm and learn about the impact camels made as Central Australia was opening up. There is time to enjoy a camel ride (own expense). While traveling through this remote country, your driver/guide will provide an informative commentary; learn about the natural and geological history of the region as well as the unique Australian desert flora and fauna. Take a quick break at a road house, then continue on to view majestic Atila (Mt. Conner) before arriving at Ayers Rock Resort. Arrival time is approximately 1.00 pm, post which you will be dropped at your hotel. You have the rest of the day at leisure to explore Ayers Rock at your pace.

 

Later in the day set out for the Your Tours will be pre-booked with specified dates. Return to the hotel after a day of exploration and sightseeing to enjoy a comfortable overnight stay.

Day 8 Discovery Piti Tour

On this day you would enjoy the Discovery Piti Tour (pass included) that includes - National Park Entry Fees, Uluru Sacred Sites & Sunset Tour and Uluru Sunrise & Kata Tjuta Tour. Start the day with a packed breakfast and board the coach from the hotel for an Uluru Sunrise and Kata Tjuta tour. Travel to the sunrise viewing area, Talinguru Nyakunytjaku, and watch the first rays of sunlight creep across the desert plains. Enjoy a cup of tea or coffee with biscuits as the morning sun slowly changes the colour of Uluru. After that mesmerising experience, travel to the mystical 36 domes of Kata Tjuta to enjoy panoramic views of the southern side of Kata Tjuta before arriving at the base of Walpa Gorge. Spend time exploring the gorge and the unusual conglomerate rock formations. The walking trail through Walpa Gorge follows the natural creek between two of the tallest domes of Kata Tjuta. The tour concludes post sunset after the Sunset Tour; later you would be dropped to the hotel.

Day 9 Transfer from Ayers Rock to Melbourne

Check-out from your hotel after breakfast, to leave behind the quaint yet stark beauty of Ayers Rock. Reach the Airport and board a flight to Melbourne - the second largest city in Australia. With the art galleries, theatres, landscapes gardens, parks, Victorian-era architecture and museums, Melbourne is the cultural hub of Australia. From the Airport, be transferred to your place of stay in CBD (Central Business District) to relax and spend the rest of the day at leisure.

Day 10 Melbourne Morning City Tour | Excursion to Phillip Island - Penguins, Kangaroos & Koalas

After breakfast, board the coach to head to the corner of Flinders & Russell Street at Federation Square, the departure point of your Melbourne Morning Citytour. At about 8.10 am, join your coach for the morning tour of Melbourne, which includes a visit to St. Pauls Cathedral, Princess and Regent Theatres, Exhibition Buildings, Federation Square, Melbourne’s Royal Botanic Gardens, Fitzroy Gardens and Captain Cook’s Cottage (entry at own expense). See the bustling Queen Victoria Market and Albert Park, visit the Shrine of Remembrance and see the Southbank waterfront precinct. Cross the Bolte Bridge for great city views. The tour concludes at approximately 11.45 am at the Federation Square.

 

In the afternoon, you would be heading for an excursion to Phillip Island. At about 1.15 pm join your coach at Flinders & Russell Street at the Federation Square to commence your afternoon and evening Phillip Island Tours. Journey south-east to visit Maru Koala and Animal Park which exhibits koalas, kangaroos and native Australian birds. View spectacular coastal scenery at the Nobbies (do note that Nobbies viewing is seasonal and dependent on daylight hours). From the walkways you may be able to catch a glimpse of Australia’s largest population of fur seals living along the coastline. Browse through the Phillip Island Visitors Information Centre to learn about the little penguins and life on this island. See the Little Penguins up-close as they return to their nests to greet their young families. Stop in Cowes for dinner (own expense) before returning to Melbourne. The tours conclude at approximately 10.30 pm (April to September) or 11.30 pm (October to March), post which you would be dropped to the hotel.

Day 11 Melbourne - Sovereign Hill Gold Rush Tour

On this day, after breakfast, a coach would pick you up from your hotel for your transfer to the corner of Flinders & Russell Street at Federation Square, the departure point of your tour. At about 8.20 am, you would join the coach for a full day Sovereign Hill Gold Rush tour. The past is very much present in towns like Ballarat, whose early wealth and proud history was due to the mighty gold discovery of the mid-1850s. The glorious legacy that gold bestowed on this colonial town is still evident in the respectfully restored buildings and atmosphere of proud Ballarat. Sovereign Hill in Ballarat is a perfect recreated example of Gold Rush life during Victoria’s Golden era. Explore the daily ritual of this Gold town and stroll the main street to visit goldsmiths, crafts people, traders, soldiers, etc. Try panning for gold to find your own fortune, and go 'underground' to the gold mine and museum, or ride the stage-coach through the village (own expense). Exhibits and displays unfold before you as you stroll through this pioneer township. Have a chat with town folk and be captivated by the friendly outlook on their 1850s-like daily life. The tour concludes at approximately 5.30 pm, post which you would be dropped to your hotel.
