Package Itinerary

Day 1 Arrival Zagreb - Zadar

Welcome to The city of Zagreb, capital of Croatia, on the historic and political threshold between East and West, illustrates both the continental and Mediterranean spirit of the nation it spearheads. Sitting at one of its Viennesestyle cafés, strolling leisurely around its streets and promenading through its parks, it’s like you’re starting out on a love affair with this city and its people.
This is a 3 hour journey and you can stop in between for a coffee or snacks.

Dobrodošli (Welcome) to the city of Zadar, a city of exceptional history and rich cultural heritage, a city of tourism.
Check into Success Apartments, walk by the stunning beach opposite Success Apartments or the olive tree forests pathway. You can end the day and have a meal at Santorini restaurant right next to the apartment - overlooking the sea.

Zadar's nightlife is neither sceney nor divided into old and young, so in most places you'll find an unpretentious mix of people.

While the Old Town is an atmospheric place to spend your evenings, you can also spend time in places like Borik, Diklo and Kolovare, to catch the sea breeze and watch the sun go down. Zadar's sunsets are supposed to be the best in the world. Apparently, Alfred Hitchcock agreed.
Young Croatians are a pretty cosmopolitan lot, and you would be surprised how urban the culture is.

Day 2 Zadar

Zadar walking tour with Maraschino liqueur and Pag Cheese tasting
Zadar
After your breakfast, here you can wander quiet streets of marble, sprawl undisturbed on pine-scented beaches and sail to remote islands, deserted except for tiny konobas – restaurants catering mostly to fishermen. The walled port of Zadar with its central geographic location makes it the best base for exploring all of Croatia.

Zadar Walking tour - We start the day by walking around Zadar’s historic centre with free Maraschino liqueur and Pag Cheese tasting. If there is a breeze, we start at the sea organ on the promenade, an art installation consisting of a series of pipes cut into the promenade. Here, you can sit on the white stone steps listening to the symphony of nature created by the action of waves on the underwater pipes. The same artist also created the Monument to the Sun, a large disc of solar-powered cells that becomes a multi-coloured disco ball as the sun sets. More classical sights include the Roman forum, of which only a few columns and an altar remain. Stones from here were used to build the neighbouring rotunda of 9th-century St Donatus Church and are clearly visible. Zadar's 12th-century cathedral has three beautiful portals that would not look out of place in Tuscany, and a bell-tower to climb. Close to an impressive city gate, the church of St Simeon contains a beautifully crafted silver reliquary.
At the end of the tour you can take your time listening the unique sound of the Sea organ or enjoy a view of the beautiful sunset.
