About Nanded

Nanded is located in the south-eastern part of Maharashtra in the Marathwada region. It is said that 'Nandi', the vahana of Lord Shiva, performed penance on the banks of the Godavari River in this region. Hence, it was named Nanded. Later, the place became more prominent with the establishment of a Gurudwara, named the Sachkhand Gurudwara, at the place where Shri Guru Gobind Singh Ji Maharaj, the last Sikh Guru, passed away in 1708. Nanded flights bring tourists to this religiously significant place, which shares its border with Andhra Pradesh.

Apart from Sachkhand Gurudwara, there are several other places of interest in this destination. The Shrikshetra Mahurgad, Kandhar Fort, Masjid of Biloli, Nanded Fort and Unkeshvar, among many others, can be visited by taking flights to Nanded.
