Niagara may not be the tallest waterfall around but it's unbeatable in the sheer volume of water that plummets over its edge. Be it winter or summers, frozen or free flowing, the Falls are a sight to behold all year long.
Stretched over the boundaries of cities of two different nations, they are relatively easier to approach and get close to from New York on the American side (almost 20 yards from the top) than Ontario on the Canadian side, which makes for a more spectacular view from a distance.
