The Taj Mahal, one of the few wonders of the world is obviously The Thing that you’ve gone to see in Agra. While I’m sure you have planned your trip with utmost precision, it looks its pretty best when it is not crowded. When the sun is smiling on its ornate dome? Well, you can catch a glimpse of this spectacle in solitude. How? The Taj Mahal opens to public at the time of sunrise and remains open till 7:00 in the evening. Also, it remains closed on Fridays, so those of you planning an early morning visit before heading back to Delhi or other places, keep this in mind. For children below 12 years of age, entry here is free. For Indian nationals, it is Rs. 20 per person and for foreign nationals, it is Rs. 750. If you are carrying a camera or a handy camera, you will need to pay extra. Also, if you can manage a moonlight tour of Taj (which happens only on full moon nights), I guarantee that you will remember the experience for a lifetime!
