Tigers, rhinoceroses (one-horned), wild horses, elephants, golden langurs, as well as hundreds of species of avifauna are all to be found in Assam’s many national parks, which are the primary tourist attractions of the state. In fact, Assam's two most famous national parks, Kaziranga & Manas National Parks, are UNESCO World Heritage Sites, and both are easily accessible from the state’s beautiful capital on the banks of the Brahmaputra River - Guwahati.
